So what we are all saying is these tickets are selling well.

The Vader breathing and then the Imperial March...Set to the best background music.

All other franchises are insignificant next to the power of Star Wars. After about 15 minutes, I'm down to 5000 people virtually in front of me on the Alamo website. I think the movie will open okay.
I also loved that tweak to the Imperial March.

t:Just booked mine, after an absolute debacle with the cinema.
Got my ticket for the 16th at 5 pm![]()
IMAX Tickets bought for Thursday at 7PM and Friday at Noon!
Didn't get opening night, but got afternoon after which I think will actually work out better in terms of driving (have to drive 2-3 hours to hit up the Orlando 70 mm IMAX).
Good news though - Fandango is crashing. That's gotta be a box office sign, right? This wasn't publicized as widely as The Force Awakens in terms of ticketing. Plus they had The Force Awakens to know to prepare for this... my gut instinct tells me there's going to be really excellent news to come for SW fans and Disney. This is going to pull in huge numbers.
Long live the rebellion!
Got em'! Two on the 15th at 7PM!
I'm surrounded by a thousand theaters, I don't need to buy tickets online.
