Superman Returns Geoff Johns and Richard Donner love Superman Returns!

Maybe it isn't logic then but call it an extremely accurate hunch.

Can a hunch be "extremely accurate" before the basis of the hunch actually takes place?

i agree with that opinion. Batman and Superman come out of more people's mouths than Spider-Man or X-Men do...

That all depends on the kind of people you are around.

Yes but is it selling as much as spiderman and X Men comics. I think not.
Take a look at the top ten sometime. In may, zero Spider-man books were in the top ten, and only ONE X-Men book was (Wolverine: Origins #2). FOUR ISSUES of 52--starring BOOST GOLD--were in the top ten. In total, DC had seven books in the top ten--compared to Marvel's 3--and only two of them starred Superman or Batman.

Exactly, as well as Wonder Woman. People forget the iconic power of the Amazon, you will be reminded soon enough. And, I seem to find alot of post 30 year old people having fond memories of The Flash!

OK so can we just all agree that WB shouldn't make anymore DC movies unless it is the JLA?

No, we can't!

I don't want to see a GL movie, but WW and Flash could both do very well in there own way.

Ok ok no GL movie for you jeez man take a chill pill.

Why would I need to take a chill pill. I just don't want to see a GL movie becuase I already know it will be done wrong and plus Hal Jordan is like Captain Cardboard!

EDIT: Thats a good idea for a sig. Thanks for inspiring me, explode!

Btw a flash movie would suck balls it would be like that fast dude from SKY HIGH throughout the whole movie. eck

Of course DC is, they are trying to link up the comics with the movie. Big supirse. Just like Peter Parker was drawn to look like Toby Maguire back in 2002 and the X-Men suddenly got black leather suits in 2000. But do you know what happened? All the changes are back to the normal, status quo. DC will go back to the Bryne "crap" once this movie fades into obscurity, because lets face it. Silver Age just doesn't work anymore.

Wrong! Theyve been trying to bring back the Silverage roots way before Superman Returns. From the 21st century onwards theyve been trying to undo alot of the Bryne aspects and bring the classic aspects back.

The most notable for me was bringing back Kara Zor El.

Bryne made a rule saying no other Kryptonians and thus we got a barrage of half assed Supergirls (who werent quite Kryptonian) in the 1990s.

I think MOS is a decent piece of writing, but I can understand fully why Bryne (whos very adament about sticking to HIS vision of Superman) wouldnt like SR.

The thing between Byrne´s Superman (post-crisis) or the Silver Age (pre-crisis) is just one.

Post-Crisis: Superman´s is a man with the power of a God
Pre-Crisis: Superman´s a God, disguised as a man

In my opinion, Superman is, and will always be, above all, a MAN

And before someone say that everyone knows that i´m a post-crisis freak, i do find Man of Steel extremely outdated, but the vision is right, and it´s all about the vision, the angle of it all.

BTW, i just saw the ITunes! clip, and it freaking rocks!

agreed. That is why I think A Superman for All Seasons is the best Superman book around. It not only has aged well (so far, as it is relatively young) but it also emphasizes the man.

Thats why I don't get this whole loneliness storyline, even though it serves it's purpose well. But Ive always thought that Superman/Clark Kent was a human being at heart, and therefor should never feel lonely. He was just blessed with the powers of a God. Atleast thats how I would write him.

But on that note, again, the loneliness storyline serves it's purpose well in the context of the story, it's just not what I personally would have done.

One of my favorites.

Again, new Matt's war :down

What the hell are you talking about? Fatboy started a fight. I didn't even bother arguing back. And I've had nothing at all to do with the argument on whose icon is bigger.
