Superman Returns Geoff Johns and Richard Donner love Superman Returns!

Lie.

And I don't think Cinnamon was even referring to that in the first place. :)

Not a lie, I simply pointed out the hypocrisy of you attacking me for creating scenes when YOU created it.

Also, what else could "Cinnamon" have been referring to? I wasn't involved at all in the Marvel/DC debate.

Not a lie,

no, lie. You didn't simply do anything but pout and weakly try to deflect accurate criticism of your posting style :)

And the scene was created when someone asked what you get out of this and you went into histrionics, and then I tried to clarify for them, since you were busy playing messageboard martyr.

Either way, that involves you arguing with me over more than a few posts, hence your claim being a baldfaced lie.

And "hypocrisy" isn't the golden gun you seem to think it is. Like people are just going to fall over and shut up if you point it at em. :)

Honestly, the reaction I'd expect from Byrne is to not see it - or at least to claim he'll never see it.

last post on this page, though there are others throughout the thread

I just read the post you linked to, and I see no such claim from Byrne, (that he's already seen SR) nor any statement that he'll never see it.

Thats why I don't get this whole loneliness storyline, even though it serves it's purpose well. But Ive always thought that Superman/Clark Kent was a human being at heart, and therefor should never feel lonely.

Lonliness is a human quality of man and is a reflection of the human emotions hes developed through living among the humans but never able to fully be like them.

More like 36 posts in just the first 20 pages of the Official review thread, you dirty attention getter!

(Man, it kills me reading responces after I'm at work at work and cant respond. Bold face lie indeed.)

No, just his 20,000 posts that can be turned against him as evidence. Too bad his posts that have been deleted couln't be brought up as well when he does have his breakdowns.

I wouldn't throw away WW just yet. Whedon will come up with a fantastic script that will have mass appeal. Girls will want to be her and guys will want to see her.

Has Whedon ever written anything that has "mass appeal?"

He is the creator of Firefly & Serenity. While Serenity was not a Box Office Hit it did wonders on DVD & when the Movie came out so did the Firefly DVD Set. Also creator of Buffy & Angel. I think he does have "mass appeal" maybe not his name but what he has done for sure

Ya I agree, but Whedon seems to be the wrong voice for Wonder Woman.

I think DC should greenlight GL or Flash first and generate some more revenue after Supes.

WW is a tricky venture; female superheroes dont seem to sell well and most younger boys who jump up and down over Superman and Batman (drawing in lots of families to see these films) wouldnt have the same reaction towards Wonder Woman.

Whedon caters EVERYTHING to his exclusive little fanclub. That guy wouldnt know mass appeal if it came up and smacked him in the head. Not that it's a bad thing mind you, since I dont agree with dumbing down things for the masses, but to claim that he'll somehow make Wonder Woman that way is a bit of a stretch

I agree. While Firefly was somewhat more enjoyable, I could still see traces of Buffy and Angel in it and I dont want that crap in WW :down

YEs we all agree Whedon sucks. I just hope DC dont make an Aquaman. Wait a minute they are making a crappy TV show "Mercy Reef" thats gonna bomb for sure in ratings.

Mercy Reef was declined awhile ago. There was a pilot but the series wasn't picked up

and yes, Whedon is a niche guy. Like Kevin Smith is, really. I like Firefly/Serenity, but let's not forget, he also helped write Toy Story and essentially wrote Speed. He can write for the big screen, Alien Resurrection not withstanding.

Well at least people wont be b*tching about his decisons whatever they may be about WW since there isnt really a "fanbase" for WW.

Well as long as he casts TAYLOR COLE for Wonder Woman, he will gain my respect.

Isn't therte a WW thread somewhere this can carry over too? Im looking forward to seeing it, but I dont think it's right discussing it for 3 pages here in a thread about John's and Donner's reaction to the film.

Nice:up:

ATTENTION:

Im not a mod, so I have no true power. But can we all knock off the pointless arguing about who is a hypocrite and who isn't, and all the over the top drama bullsh1t. Stick to Superman Returns or comic book related material. Positive, Negative, or whatever the f#ck, everyone is entitled to there own opinion and I see that some here don't grasp that obviously hard to understand concept. Weren't you supposed to learn this in 2nd f#cking grade. Or is that above your heads. Plus, do you know stupid you look yelling at each other like little children. Your going to make me have to go and throw my comments around if it keeps up, and you don't want me to do that.

Now please, Superman Returns and comic related material!

could you be any later with that?

Also, you're totally misreading the situation, but that's okay, because your heart is in the right place :)

Buffy and Angel were hugely popular and ran for a combined 13 seasons (seven seasons of Buffy, five seasons of Angel). People like to trash Buffy in particular, but the real truth of it is most of the shows detractors didn't watch long enough. The show was weak in it's first season but evolved in an absolutely stellar program--especially in the later seasons.

In any case, I don't pay much mind to people who trash Buffy, because they're often the same people who think Smallville is quality television (which is laughable).

Why do you keep making up bulls*it and pretending it's fact? Wonder Woman has had a consistent fanbase for decades. If there was no fanbase, her book would not sell and would thus be cancelled. This hasn't happened.

Hell, she had enough of a fanbase to warrant a live action TV show. Same goes for The Flash. The bottom line is that you clearly know nothing about the popularity of DC characters, and should really stop pretending otherwise.

Yeah I don't think he's seen it or will see it judging from that thread. Anyway, Byrne locked it. Guy is practically colicky, crying into his little Byrne bib and throwing his little Byrne rattle around the room.
