You know what's weird about this? Cage has said before that he wants the second film to be darker, that Blaze should be in a bad place and drinking instead of eating his jelly beans.
But that doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering how Ghost Rider ends: Blaze ends up accepting his fate, seeing it as a second chance, and rides off with a big ol' smirk on his face because he's this superhero now. Sure, he had to leave Roxanne behind but otherwise, he seems pretty pleased! If he was depressed before that and all he did was eat jelly beans and listen to the Carpenters, then why the hell would he suddenly turn to drink when he has this amazing gift?
Personally, I'm hoping for Ketch to appear and maybe the torch to be passed by the conclusion of the film.
