It is a 2 week spread so I wouldn't worry either. I am just saying if the budget is that high it better have a huge opening or long lasting legs in the theatre.

obviously MJS released things were running smoother than expected in post, and was able to bring the release date back a whiles.

This is good news and shows Sony has confidence in the project. They moved it up from August, which is usually a period where studios drop their less appealling summer projects, to July, which is the height of the season.

We've already been talking about this in the "What if the release date was earlier" thread, the "Ghost Rider Competition" thead and the countdown thread has already been updated... not to say it doesn't deserve it's own thread. Just letting you know if you're interested in seeing what some of us have already been saying.

High, Wide and Handsome it's a Will Ferell NASCAR comedy that comes out the same day.

Don't know inVictus, according to http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/ghostrider/international/ the release date for Italy is 13-Oct-06.

Now this might be changed since the page still sites Ghost Rider being released here in the States on August 6, '06.

as for your comment about meeting msj, i didn't get his autograph and because we were on set i didn't take any photos. i remember all that was said, and all the other crew whom i met with my friends.
i did spend 4 hours on the set though. the highlight of it was that i was actually invited, and didn't resort to sneaking around like an idiot.
