Ghost Rider vs Vengeance in Movie 2?

Blackheart's the son of the Devil, so he's an enemy of pretty much everybody, particularly GR. BlackOUT is another of GR's rogue's, a pseudo-vampire w/the ability to dampen all light around him-except hellfire. His face got cooked when he made the mistake of biting GR.

I'd like to see Ghost Rider face Vengence. This would be one of the best Marvel movies. What do you guys think?
It has a lot of potential. He's like GR's Venom or Bizarro, in a way.
But I don't think I'd want them to patch up like they did in the comics.

I just thought of something; we're already getting Venom in the Spider-Man movies. Do you think that if Venom & Abomination make it to film it could nullify Vengeance-make him seem redundant?

You could be right there.

Vengeance would be cool to see, but they'd have to introduce his human alter-ego first. Maybe they could introduce him in the sequel then unleash him in the third. If we're lucky enough to get three movies, that is!

But, yeah, it'd be cool to see him on screen. Can you imagine what a climactic bike chase/fight between the two would be like? Wow.

I always liked the idea of Badallino selling his soul to the Devil to become what he hates most in order to defeat it. It worked, until the whole Seige of Darkness crossover ruined everything.

But I still rather see, in the second film, Scarecrow, Skinner and Blackout appear, maybe even Deathwatch or Centurious. I remember thinking Lilith would be a bad idea, but after consistant talk of how this Ghost Rider will come about, she might work in the end.

I bet if they do Vengeance they'll make his civie Dan Ketch so they can cut out that whole segment.:(

That could definitely work. Perhaps they could make Vengeance Zarathos and reverse a the story a little. Have Blaze go after a Ghost Rider impersonator only to discover the evil demon is trapped in his unkown brothers body.

Sounds like a good sequal to me...

They would do him but I hope to god his skull is pith-black, that's how Mephisto described it in Spirits of Vengeance #9(?) but the colorist made it purple for some reason.

The same reason why so many black costumes are depicted as blue.

I don't like the brother angle.

What would have to be the box office numbers for the upcoming movie to warrant a sequel?

I believe it was mentioned that Superman Returns needed to exceed $200 million domestically to warrant a sequel.

Superman Returns was also an almost $300 million dollar movie, so I think the bar is set a little higher in that respect. GR's budget is what, half that?

It's also a tough call, because DVD sales can truly be the "meat" of a film's returns nowadays. I think Sony, so long as they at least come in a little over budget on the returns, would follow through...of course, they also sat on their hands for Hellboy 2, so who knows.

However, I think GR's cast will pull in heavy numbers more than anything. When the least known actor out of the main players is Wes Bentley, you've definitely got something special on your hands.
