Since ol' Uncle FlameHead isn't a member of the YTMND community and isn't that familiar with it, allow me to interject and give a little background for those who might want it.
Back in 2001, a dude named Max Goldberg created yourethemannowdog.com, which was nothing but a tiled picture of Sean Connery, an audio clip from Finding Forrester, and some 3D text declaring that "You're the man now dog!"
Imitators arose, and Goldberg enjoyed the flattery. He kept a mirror and list of these sites, but it soon grew too large. So he expanded his operation to allow users to sign up at his new forum and create their own similar sites with audio clips, text, and pics/movie clips.
YTMND.com has gone through many ups and downs as it propagates internet memes. It's become a source of entertainment for those with little to no attention span, a creative outlet for keyboard hacks, and an easy way to share a gag while posting on bulletin boards.
Now I'm off to handle media inquiries for the harried FlameHead. This one-horse town has been bowled over by the glitz and glamour emanating from the Flaming one...
