Give a movie the Fox treatment.

QOS wasn't that bad. There are plenty of Bond films that were worse.

Oh I know, but Quantum of Solace is the first Bond movie I've ever seen that just seemed to me like a dream of a Bond movie. Know what I mean? Like when there's a movie coming out soon that you're really looking forward to, ya ever dream that you're actually sitting watching it? In the dream, it's great. But then ya wake up and realize that it was nothing more than a jumbled, incoherent string of scenes, none of which made any sense. That's how I felt after Quantum of Solace.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Just slap a FOX logo on it and you're done.

.

You know, although I didn't feel this way about QoS, I really do understand where you're coming from because I have had those dreams. I had one before I saw The Dark Knight and it was exactly that type of situation. Thank God the real movie didnt turn out like that though.

I had a dream about The Dark Knight, but it was about what Two-Face was gonna look like. Glad I didn't have any about the actual movie.

lol agreed darth maul owns...

doctor jones: the delivery of im a person and my name is anakin was just awful...your not like sand was in episode 2...and hilarious...i love episode 3 though...and parts of 2...and about 1 part of one...

It was alright for me the delivery. God, that line is pretty bad though. Love episode 3. It was on last night on Spike.

Yeah, but once he becomes Vader he doesn't even seem to worry about finding the cure, just doing Palpatine's bidding and the turn totally sucked. One minute he's getting the Jedi to arrest Palpatine, the next he's Palpatine's best buddy pal.

Well, he tricked him. That's part of the dark side. That's the whole part of the seduction. Anakin actually did want to arrest Palpatine after he found out he was a sith lord.

Obi-Wan never said he was seduced by Palpatine, he said "Vader was seduced by the Dark Side of the force". Him enjoying killing the sand people and ending up liking it would've made it much more effective.

In which Palpatine helped seduce him. The dark side was the influence primarily yes. But Palaptine had a helping hand using it to sedude Anakin by telling him he can save people from dying.

Again, him liking it would of gone too far. He can't already develop it at that stage. He's still confused, and him liking it would make the order take notice. If he liked it, Padme would get that same reaction she did in episdoe 3 maybe. Maybe not as much, but that would already lead him to the dark side.

I think I may be the only person on the planet to prefer episode 1 over episode 2.

Anyway, Fox ****s up enough films...

You're not the only one. The Phantom Menace was a masterpiece compared to Attack of the Clones.

If Fox were to held on to the right of Watchmen and make a film out of it (under the "watchful" eye of Tim Rothman), we can expect the movie to be:

  • No more than 90 minutes
  • Is PG-13
  • It will have minimum character development and maximum action scenes
  • The ending will be changed to be an attack by a robot (but not a giant robot, because apparently Rothman hates giant robots)
  • The heroes will look vaguely like their comic book counterparts

And dont forget that, courtosy of the PG-13 rating, Dan and Laurie will have no more than a kissing scene and the comedian will never so much as say a word to Sally in the movie.

The Boondock Saints - The Saints will go around beating up criminals instead of killing them to ensure a PG-13 rating. Also, Agent Smecker will be changed to a hot chick instead of a gay man.

Hahaha I love it.

The only thing that would have made it the worst is if they titled it Shadow of the Bat

Ok in this thread you state a film title and then proceed to give it the Fox treatment. This means you treat the film like Fox would have done if they were responsible for it.

An example is say TDK, TDK>enters the Fox treatment Machine= Its at most an 80 minute film, Batman costume is changed, Bruce Wayne parents were drug addicts who got killed while cruising for a fix. The Bat mobile/tumbler would be CGI, Alfred would be a wise cracking black butler from the hood who picked young Bruce Wayne from the streets. The film would be rated PG, and Batman would have ot fight Robots (Got to sell those toys) not giant robots of course since its rumoured Rothman hates that idea.

Oh despite the title feel free to give books, animes, tv shows the Fox treatment say if Fox were to adapt them to the big screen.

Don't forget, they'd make the Joker a cloud.

Transformers: Since Rothman hates giant robots, the film would feature cars that turn into people.

Lord of the Rings trilogy...

Actually, it would only be two films, the third film wouldn't have any of the original actors in it except possibly one.

70% of the character growth would be cut out in order to make room for leoglas doing "wicked backflips and martial art kicks to dozens of orcs"

The sound track would be replaced with a heavy metal/orchestral track.

At least two characters would get it on in the glade...somewhere near the pool of seeing or whatever it's called. (including one of the TOP 40 love songs currently on the radio)

Aragon would have some great catch phrases before dispatching some of the bad guys.

Instead of a long and difficult trek up Mount Doom, it would include a kung fu fight up the hill where Frodo and Sam have to kick and punch their way up the hill before disposing of the ring...

...which after the credits we see pop back up out of the lava allowing Fox for a sequel to further milk the series.

Christian Bale would kill everyone in that room before he lets that happen. I hope...

bale killing shia and miley would make for some good entertainment :woot:

Now that would be 8 bucks well spent at the movies

Shia isn't half bad... he needs a director who doesn't act like a father to him (Spielberg) or his best friend in college (Micheal bay). Remember Disturbia?

But not Robin though... he's more Jimmy Olsen... the clumsy humorous intern at the office

Shia LaBouf would actually make a really good Eddie Dean if The Dark Tower movie ever gets off the ground.

to be honest, i don't understand a lot of the ate he gets. he's just doing what he can to become a star.

like you wouldn't pass up doing transformers and indy 4 after getting in the good graces of steven ****ing spielberg

LOL, yeah. The only thing I hate about him is that he's starred in two movies I would have KILLED to be in. I didn't like Indy 4, but hell, I would have loved to be a part of it anyway, just to appease the kid I used to be who made a whip out of an old rope and some duct tape and used to wear a safari hat (sue me, I didn't own a fedora).

Just wanna touch on the Batman there was rumors of Shia playing Robin. I'll just HELL NO,and thats to having a Robin character and especially a HELL NO for SHIA playing it. He's one of the most annoying actors I've seen in a long time, just can't stand the guy for some reason...
