The bloody-disgusting review really disappointed me I really hoped that the film would have some truly suspsenseful horrific moments, I'm somewhat baffled at hearing some of the bad decisions that the filmmakers made. I am still more excited for this movie than anything else this summer but my senses are telling me the film I really wanted to see from the trailers isn't the film we're getting.

Isn't that the case with most films?

Why do people INSIST on latching onto the few negatives of things instead of all the good? It's like people simply ignore all the positive stuff and act like the few negative things somehow hold more weight/mean more. The reviews so far have been good to great with a few bad thrown in...like most movies.

I'm not trying to single you out or anything but there's this trend all around the internet of people putting all their eggs in the review basket and only blindly seeing the bad.

Jesus people, make up your own minds.

I hope some of these reviewers aren't serious about not liking that there wasn't alot of humor in the film . I pretty sure Edwards was set on making a more serious film.

Personally the only reviewers I trust/look forward to are John Campea and his crew, Jeremy Jahns and Rob from ETN.

This, especially that last sentence. I never care about what reviews say, I make up my own mind. I don't need someone else to tell me what they loved or hated. Makes no sense to me. Why people care so much about these critics. I'm seeing the film for my own enjoyment. Not theirs.

I've never found any of Bloody-disgusting's writers to have tastes particularly similar to my own and tend to find their reveiws way off base- be it for games, movies, or especially music.

From what im hearing, save for the fight teases, this is the Godzilla film we have been waiting for.

Because people love having something to ***** and moan about, and you can't very well complain about the positive parts of reviews.

This.

Also, it's out of our control. I wouldn't worry about reviews. Just let it fall into place.

If movie reviews didn't matter to people, RottenTomatoes or Metacritic wouldn't be the huge businesses they are. They shouldn't be the end-all-be-all whether you see or enjoy a movie but I think it's fine for people to use them as a guide so they're not possibly wasting $10.

I'm also curious if the original theme is in the movie. One of my favorite movie themes ever.

Already confirmed that it's not.

I like my movies to be liked by others. Not saying that I can't like a movie not liked by others, but there's always an odd comforting feeling to be in the majority. Weird, huh? That's how everyone feels psychologically.
Now, some obsess far more than others to the point they'll cry and moan about it. Everyone must feel the same way they feel, insecurity at it's finest

ok does it freak anyone else out that final wars was out 10 years ago

I was, like what? 7 When it came out? Time flies. How fitting though that the final Toho Godzilla film to date came out in the 50th anniversary and now, a brand new American Godzilla is coming out during the 60th.

I was 15 or so. Watched the movie with my pops at my old house. So much awesome and hillarity. I feel old

:lmao: Even thought it's been confirmed HE DOES and that it's arguably the defining moment of the film.

And I see he gave it the Bret Hart score so that's generous. :p

It's imdb, where at first you're laughing and then get horrified by the thought that some of these folks are really that ignorant.

Most likely that's gonna be slim to none actually, haha.
