I saw the trailer almost shot by shot and a lot of stuff can be pieced together.
There is a ton of info.

For example i do think that humanity is going after every titan they have knowledge of, in order to release them or somehow pit them against King Ghidora. Ken Watanabe goes into a volcanic mountain in search of Rodan, the mother and daughter go to the waterfall where Mothra is and the father goes with the military and a sub in search for Godzilla. Charles Dance is seen with the mother and daughter looking at King Ghidorah...

King Ghidorah is creating storms and cyclones while flying. He also releases lighting... He is flying over Washington when the army, air force, Rodan... go after him and attack him. Rodan is being attracted to KG by some sort of jet that is seen with him at the vulcano and then afterwards when he is flying to face KG. Godzilla also shows up flanked by the air force to face KG.

So the movie is basically the humans getting the monsters to come and fight the biggest monster.

I get the feeling that Vera Farminga's character... isn't all there.

When you call your fellow humans an infection, suffice to say it's quite the extremist viewpoint to have.

I'm not sure if she'll be an outright villain since the trailer could be misleading us (I'm 95% sure Charles Dance is an antagonist though), but I don't see her being squeaky clean either.

An interesting trailer, seems to be trying to instil some type of emotional arc to it, which wouldn’t be bad. The first was was ok but a bit hollow in the character department,

I hope Dance whether good or bad represents some group separate from Monarch that's in competition with them in some way.

He seems to be in the Antarctica base as well, so it looks like he might try to thaw Ghidorah for whatever reason?

I think Charles Dance is the main villain here. Farmiga might be working for him, helping out with the history of the monsters... I guess she could be some sort of paleontologist and he might be using her...

I could see them doing a Destroy All Monsters-esque movie somewhere down the line. Not sure it'll happen though.

I like my monster movies foreboding and straight forward, big creature(s) come to **** us up, how do we fight back? where as this seems like it wants to give the monsters heart and a relationship with the humans, maybe touch on environmentalism, which is OK, just not my preference.

The direction they're going with Mothra and her connections with humand has pretty much been Mothra character for the last 50 years.

Eh, not really. We still have little to no clue what the plot will be about (other than the obvious) and the Kaiju shots we got sans Godzilla didn't reveal the monsters in full detail.
