That's good marketing. They need to not hold back too much with this trailer. Give us some good looks at G. I think the other Kaiju will be held back for later trailers. Still, if we get Rodan and Mothra in the same shot with the big man I will be happy as a pig in feces.

The 1st teaser for K:SI only showed a silhouette of Kong so I expect the same for Rodan & Ghidorah here. WB may opt to show Mothra in all her glory tho.

Just as long as they don't hold back on Da Big G. We have seen him and he's the headliner. Give us some epic shots I say.

I think they will hold off on the others in this one just cuz it buolds hype for the following trailers. Still, I hope I am wrong and they give use a look at Mothra and Rodan here and hint at KG.

Besides, its not over a year, we're within the year it'll come out.

Because they've been in post-production since October (plus a few reshoots) and have enough stuff completed to compile footage for Comic Con.

That and, fans have been craving for a lick of something substantial for 2 years.

Was so sad to hear of his passing today. I had heard about the stroke earlier this week. Knew he was on life support but was praying he’d somehow pull through. Such a shame.

I think what might also factor in is the mixed response the last film got. They want to build on the feedback they got from KONG: SI as well I wager. And has been noted there's already anticipation. If you can give the fans something to chew on, why not? Let them pick apart the teaser for the next four months and then drop a new even bigger trailer down the line. Point is fans REALLY wanna see something of what's been cooked up. With the overheated social media environment being what it is and the hardcore fans acting as the tip of the spear both in marketing and critical reception they probably are looking to curry favor as much as they can with the group that does pay attention to films even this far out from actual release.

Half and half, I find it a little frustrating that they release stuff so long from release because it amps me up and then disappoints me to wait so long all in the same breath.

I can understand but also nobody is forcing you to watch this early released stuff. If you want you can easily avoid it. But yet you are here on a message board in a thread for said film so, that’s kind of on you haha. See what I mean?

All I know is this trailer will certainly scratch my itch for something from this franchise. Honestly given how much has gone on in the world 2014 seems so long ago. Hell, even Skull Island feels in the distant past almost.

I do, mainly because now prevalent all 3 monsters are on the Monarch website. They're giving all sorts of information. Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah are front and center.

Eh. Ghidorah's gonna be the big bad of the whole thing. I can't imagine them not concealing him in the shadows for a while in order to build him up and then reveal him later in the marketing at least.

At best, we could get a silhouette of him (whether enveloped in smoke, his shadow, etc.) or a quick glimpse of him flying around, but I personally can't see us getting any more than that right now.
