Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) - Part 1

I love the growling and crunching sounds. Thanks for answering my questions about Zilla being Vegan. I was hoping he would eat some of the monsters and villains after beating them but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

The VFX look amazing! Dougherty should so direct the next Superman film

HE STOLE SHIN GOJI'S MOVE

I listened to the wondercon audio. They are bound and determined to beat everyone over the head with the operatic nature of this film. This time they used Nessun dorma from Turandot. It sounds like it's the the actual ****ing audio lifted from from MI Rogue Nation's opera scene.:funny: It's getting silly at this point.

On another note, the scale of this film is bonkers. I was expecting something close to the scale of the first film. Godzill would fight the other three and wreck a city or two. But now there are 17...SEVENTEEN!!!... MUTOs and this **** looks like a full on worldwide apocalyptic scale destruction movie. Is Godzilla vs Kong gonna be set in a post-apocalyptic Planet of the MUTOs Earth?

This is what I keep coming back to. There's no reasonable way the world of KvG can mirror our own reality at the moment. No way. Even after a few years the world would STILL be reeling from events like this in multiple countries.

The issue is... Is KvG even the kind of film where you can explore such fallout?

If they wreck human civilization in this film any wreckage done in KvG wont mean much. The equivalent of a tree falling on a house that's already burned down.

As for exploring the fallout of this film in KvG, I wouldnt expect much. Just some references to the fallout and we'll probably see some minor consequences. Tho it's possible the events of this film could directly be the cause of the Kong and Godzilla confrontation. The way the Battle of Metropolis in MOS caused the events of BvS.
