Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)

Well that makes more sense than Chandler Riggs. Now Kyle Chandler has been in both a Godzilla and a King Kong movie.

Sweet. Like the dude as an actor. Wonder if his role will be similar to his Super 8 one.

Also, did that article confirm Ken Watanabe is returning, or is that still speculation at this point?

Cast is shaping up nicely, now give me confirmation of Ghidorah.

I really wouldn't want them to make any significant changes to him. Other than the spines not being white, I though the design was perfect. Definitely my new favorite Godzilla design.

I loved his feet...reminds me of my tortoise's feet. Something with feet that cute won't harm us!

Kyle Chandler coming full circle? He played the movie star Bruce Baxter in Peter Jackson's King Kong film, and this is supposed to bridge a King Kong/Godzilla movie...I think.

Wrong Kong.

It is quite funny in retrospect. :hehe:

Now he has to deal with a 350 ft. tall lizard who coughs up atomic rays.

so what is the in-universe rationale for these new creatures showing up all of a sudden? Isn't Ghidorah originally from outer space?

Godzilla and the MUTOs were both pre-historic, so I guess that's the same case with other monsters we'll see.

Still think Ghidorah will be extraterrestrial, but we'll see.

Ghidorah's the hardest to explain, but dammit if he isn't the coolest.

Speaking of Ghidorah possibly being extraterrestrial, here's this fanmade 3D model I found on Deviantart. Keeps the overall design the same, but gives off more of an alien feel to him:

I keep forgetting these are in a shared universe.

His feet were blown out.

I was laughing cuz I was picturing Godzilla getting an elephantiasis diagnosis from Cranston but he died. :csad:

Ol Nutty Professor dream sequence havin ass feet. They should streamline them ****s cuz it took me out of the movie when they hit the closeup.

Took you out of the movie?:whatever:

Maybe that wasn't the best description but it did distract me for a second for what was one of the only tensely built up scenes with Godzilla stomping around

Godzilla's elephant feet are suppose to be their way of grounding him in reality a bit. Plus, I thought they looked cute on him.

So Godzilla is supposed to be cute now?

Remember the very first trailer of that movie? It didn't seem like they were going for cute, no matter how sympathetic maybe they wanted him to come off at the end after destroying the MUTOs

For the crocodilian influence they were going for, the feet work.
