Maybe, but the problem is that both Kong and Godzilla are somewhat heroic. With Ghidorah he's the most vicious and hateful of the monsters, arguably the most evil of the Toho creatures....it'll be more satisfying seeing Godzilla bring that some***** down

I, too, am curious to see how they interpret a new GvK battle. It will have to occur in multiple stages, otherwise you'd have a very short film and a crispy bonobo.

Sounds like the monster fights in Godzilla: King of the Monsters are absolutely EPIC. Human characters are cardboard and the story is dumb, but you only care about epic monster fights, right? Compared more to Skull Island than Godzilla 1. That’s good.

If the characters are on the same level as Skull Island's, I won't mind the characterization too much. Plus, they could do reshoots to rework some of that stuff.

Glad to hear the monster fights are presumably epic, since I don't think the effects are done.

The 2nd part is why the test screening are being held this early. The movie will have a metric f**k tons of CGI. So once the FX work is done, the director and editors won't be able to retrofit any re-shoot material/additional pick up scenes to the existing cut. It's a good thing that WB is doing this very early.

Plus it gives them a lot more time to work on the effects and make sure they look great. G14 and Skull Island had terrific effects imo, especially the former.

Agreed I thought the FX in both films was incredibly well done. As for the human characters I’m not one who is too worried or needs them to be anything more than average. I’m watching these films personally for the monsters and they have not disappointed. And in both films there were a few characters in each I enjoyed a lot so I’m satisfied if that’s what we get again Really pumped to see these epic battles

Smart move to do the test screenings now to figure out what needs to be reworked with the characters/plot.

But then again Godzilla movies aren't known for their plot. Come to think of it, my favorite G movie based on the human characters i think has to be Godzilla vs Biolante

Then again, this is one person's opinion. I don't think it should paint what all our reactions to the movie will be. I need to hear more about it than this one review.
