Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

You misunderstood, I meant
How long is Godzilla out for after Kong "Seems to win" you said 5 minutes but for the pacing of the movie that seems too long

ooooh, my bad. Kong “Wins” and one of the guys goes “I guess round 2 goes to Kong” and then it cuts to a scene or two with Millie Bobby Brown and MG and then it cuts back to Godzilla and Kong and Godzilla gets up and kicks his ass. It’s probably around 5 minutes of screening time.

I'm curious about the ship attack scene. Why did godzilla attack the fleet?
Was it simply because another alpha was on it or something more?

Unless I missed something, that’s pretty much it.

What about my Godzilla's new ability? Or is there no such thing?

Nutz. I was hoping jet jaguar saved the day.

Yes, Godzilla clearly wins. Even when Kong “wins” the second fight with the hammer, Godzilla gets back up like five minutes later, gets on all fours, and just obliterates Kong. However, Kong gets his time to shine. One, the story is told from his perspective and two, he’s the one who gets to finish off MechaGodzilla. MG is only in the climax, I’d say maybe 20 minutes of screen time. Godzilla essentially kills Kong and gets attacked by MG. MG is created by humans and powered by the same power from the Hollow Earth as the Hammer and also the DNA from the Ghidorah head. However, it goes haywire(perhaps because they don’t know the power of the Hollow Earth or perhaps because Ghidorah’s Head takes control of it or maybe both) and it attacks the city. Godzilla and MechGodzilla fight while the humans revive Kong. Then Godzilla and Kong fight MG together which is AWESOME, but Godzilla gets knocked out(he already was winded before Kong was revived) and MG is about to kill Kong, when Godzilla fires his breath at the hammer to light it up and Kong defeats MG with the hammer. It’s so badass!

If Kong knocks out Godzilla for 5 minutes, what happens? What does Kong do? Sounds like he wins. He just sits there for 5 minutes with an unconscious Godzilla? Please clarify!

I think godzilla beats kong, mecha shows up and he knocks out godzilla

No.
He says Kong knocks out Godzilla with the axe for like 5 minutes. Godzilla gets back up. It sounds like Kong flat out wins. Then stays there for 5 minutes, then Godzilla gets up and almost kills Kong.

I finally got home from the screening. I really enjoyed it! It’s definitely my favorite of the MonsterVerse movies. The monster action is by far the best in the series. The trailers are very Kong heavy and he does have a substantial amount of more screen time, but as a Godzilla fan, I loved how they handled Godzilla. He’s by far the coolest in this film than the other two films.

Godzilla defeats Kong the first time. Kong then gets the hammer and seems to defeat Godzilla. However, Godzilla attacks him on all fours(I believe a first in his appearances?) and scratches Kong to hell and defeats him. Godzilla can kill him, but he spares him and leaves.

How does Kong get away from Godzilla when he gets his chest stepped on and they roar in each others faces as seen in the trailer?

It opens with Kong waking up at Skull Island enjoying the sun, only to throw a tree through the sky which hits and invisible wall and reveals he’s actually in like a dome supervised my Monarch
Is there any scenes on actual Skull Island?

It doesn’t seem like a definite win if the editing of that scene is jarring enough to make it seem like Kong won for 5 whole minutes. Why would he not go in for the kill? What happens in between, and doesn't that make Kong the victor of that round if he only loses because Godzilla just jumps him? Seems like the debate will never end :(

That person said 5 minutes of screen time not 5 minutes of G-Man being unconscious…Would be something like he supposedly loses and then scene cuts to others for 3-4 minutes before back to the fight and he is back up

OK, maybe knockout isn’t the best word. Kong knocks Godzilla down, and Alexander Skarsgard says “I guess round 2 goes to Kong”. Then it cuts to scenes with Millie Bobby Brown and MG and when the film picks back up with Kong and Godzilla, Godzilla has gotten up and destroys Kong. It’s five minutes of screen time because it cuts to other scenes. You could probably interpret it as Godzilla getting right back up.

If I remember correctly, he doesn’t. I think that’s when Godzilla finishes him. Godzilla scratches his chest to hell.

As explained above, it cuts to other scenes. When it cuts back to them, Godzilla is up and fights Kong. I don’t see how anyone watching this would think Kong wins. Trust me.

yeah, he needs to clarify if there's a time lapse, or if when we cut back to Godzilla and Kong, it's clear no time has passed. Is it 5 minutes of in-universe time that has passed? Or is it, Godzilla's down...now what... If it's clear that the fight isn't done, then great". But this makes no sense. Kong wins. Plain and simple. Walks away? Stares at him? Godzilla jumps him and Kong doesn't notice? It's poorly written for the sake of ambiguity. .
Hopefully there isn't a real time lapse, and it's just a sort of suspenseful way of cutting the scene.

Alright, I trust you.
So new monsters, the Snake one, Warbat and of course Mechagodzilla. Are they cool? do they have any standout scenes or moves? should we expect any of the monsters from King of the Monsters, or the Skullcrawlers from K:SI?

Exactly like I interpreted it :3…thanks Weezer person

The villains use skullcrawlers as bait for MechaGodzilla while they are testing him. In the Hollow Earth there are serval different creatures shown, but Kong only interacts with the Snakebats and these other bat like creatures by his throne that attack.

So there is no new ability…that Heat Spiral Ray? Or any other new ability for Big G?
