Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

1. I stayed away from any spoilers and pretty much predicted the whole movie based on the trailers. It didn’t bother me, I still enjoyed the film, but I think the only surprise(MG) is pretty predictable. I went and visited my parents the other day and told them I saw this movie and even my mother went “Do they team up against a bigger threat at the end?”.

2. Guesstimation here:
1. 30 min
2. 45 min-1 hour
3. 1 hour and a half.

3. It feels natural.
4. Not really. Anyone keeping up with my answers will know by now that I didn’t care for the human story.
5. Funny you said that because this is one of the few “fan fic” type questions I feel confident in answering because I had the same thought during one of the fights. He does use it a lot.
6.I think they focus more getting good angles for the fights versus seeing it from the human perspective, so their size isn’t as big of a focus, so I’d say the answer is probably a no. Personally, I preferred this, so I could actually see what the hell was happening in the fight.

1.If it is, they don’t explain it in the movie. They might go the lazy Star Wars routine and reveal all that in tie books lol.
2. He definitely still have some wounds fighting MG, but he heals fast. Probably a mixture of both.
3. It’s a long take following the ship out of the whole in the earth, past a roaring Kong, along the atomic breath all the way to Godzilla roaring.

Hey man, I’d be lying if I said I was enjoying this at this point lol. I’m just being nice. People want spoilers and I can give it to them, so it’s the nice thing to do. I bet most posters in this position would agree with me. It’s fun at first because you just saw the movie and want to talk about it with anyone, but no one else has seen it and the only ones who want to talk about it without seeing it are people on these types of forums, so you talk to them. Then you wake up with 50 alerts and 20 private Messages and *******s on YouTube calling you a liar. By then, it becomes exhausting. Not asking for sympathy or anything, but it’s definitely not a “flex”.

Nah.

There are many different blink and you’ll miss creatures in HE. The Warbats fly up and eat one of the human ships and Kong defends them. I believe there are only two. They fight in HE. MG does not interact with them and Kong doesn’t fight SkullCrawlers.

I’m happy to continue to answer questions. Just expect the answers to start coming a little slower. Haha

How many SkullCrawlers were shown? (what color do they have?)

What is located in the center of the hollow earth near Antarctica and is there an ecosystem there?

how Kong will defeat the kites ?

in the hollow earth Mechagodzilla kills the crawler and if so how exactly ?

You should probably spoiler tag this.

Does Kong throw a ferris wheel at Godzilla in Hong Kong ?

That's another thing that is always strange to me. Some people have waited years, even decades, to see this film and other films like this. And then mere weeks before they can see it, they want to learn or read every single thing about what happens in the film. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I can't really say I've been waiting decades or years to watch this movie. I love Godzilla and all, but it's not like I've been desperate for a modern Godzilla vs. Kong big budget giant CG reimagining.

Does Godzilla have interactions with other Titans ?
And remember you said that in the credits there will be images of the Titans who were defeated by Godzilla and Kong are there any new Titans that we did not get poked ?

Except the ones stated countless times in giant red letters in this very thread. Bye now.

I'll be deleting your questions as well.
:funny:

One thing I can say about this for sure is; your use of Godzilla gifs inspires me to watch the old funny looking movies.
Thanks for that.

They find a bunch of zilla eggs in a building at the end.
In Madison Square Garden?

:oldrazz:
Okay these are officially my favorite posters for the film.

These look great. I really like that they took the effort to make side by side posters in both perspectives.

This is probably true as the current reopen date for cinemas in the UK is may 17th

as we don’t have HBO max though here in the UK there should be another way for us to watch the movie via another streaming service. :(

The GvK official Twitter account is just flooded with people asking the same question, not just from the UK, but overseas in general. The way WB have handled the HBO Max rollout is nothing short of a farce!

guys in the near future namely on March 25 I will go to the screening of the film so wait for new exclusive information and in the meantime I am waiting for the show in our country.

There seems to be two interpretations of something weezerspider said and I hope he can clear it up:

Some people think Godzilla wins the Hong Kong fight through a surprise attack on all fours, I interpreted it as a direct confrontation on all fours.

APEX has a bunch of Skullcrawler eggs stored to use to practice with MG. MG does not go to Hollow Earth. He fights one SkullCrawler in the hanger and shoots him. Yes, Hollow Earth has an ecosystem. It looks a lot like Skull Island but with rock in the “sky” since its underground.

1. No
2. I don’t think so. I might have missed some. I was talking on the phone during the opening credits with the source playing the film for me because the coloring was incorrect at first.

No surprise attack. Not sure why people would interpret that. I’ve said a million times by now that Godzilla wins fair and square.

“Unlike anything we’ve ever seen”
We already had 2 movies with Godzilla fighting monsters.

at around 0:25-0:26 We see Godzilla roaring, is he roaring specifically at MG here or is it his victory roar over kong in the morning or MG death?
The shot at 1:37 is at the end. Kong drops the axe and Godzilla roars and leaves.

Unlike that axe shot, that’s not a very
memorable shot, so I’d be lying if I said I could place that exactly where it is in the film.

I’m surprised no one has asked this; but is the weird red back spine thing (the toy leak showed us), ever appear in the movie?

@weezerspider

At what point in the movie is the line Are you sure the monkey is going to survive this said?

I do not remember that line. I’m probably not going to remember specific lines a week later considering how bad the script is lol.

Nope

I finally got home from the screening. I really enjoyed it! It’s definitely my favorite of the MonsterVerse movies. The monster action is by far the best in the series. The trailers are very Kong heavy and he does have a substantial amount of more screen time, but as a Godzilla fan, I loved how they handled Godzilla. He’s by far the coolest in this film than the other two films.

Godzilla defeats Kong the first time. Kong then gets the hammer and seems to defeat Godzilla. However, Godzilla attacks him on all fours(I believe a first in his appearances?) and scratches Kong to hell and defeats him. Godzilla can kill him, but he spares him and leaves.
A question: In comparison to the last 2 MonsterVerse Godzilla films: Does Godzilla have less, more or the same sort of amount of screen time in this film?
