Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

I feel like we saw TV spots and footage proving Weezerspider's accuracy ages ago. Everything lined up.

I’m so confused....
So I’m hoping @Loden Greatstorm can answer this: When we see Godzilla get on all fours and scratch Kong, from what I’ve seen on the clips, Godzilla just stares at Kong after Kong just lays there(After the roar-off). So I wondering 2 things:What happens next for Godzilla? And then it looks like pure nighttime still, sooo is there a cutaway till MG shows up and it’s day? And what does Godzilla in the meantime?

Monsterverse directors reunion!

Unpopular opinion, but I still want Gareth Edwards to return to this franchise. Despite the flaws, the strengths in Godzilla 2014 are really phenomenal and if he's just given a better writer, he can come up with something fantastic.

REMINDER TO ALL THE POLICY REGARDING SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD:

As it's been a few days since I last posted this...

Since we have so many new faces in here all of a sudden, I'll make the rules here clear: ANY SPOILERS OR REFERENCES TO SPOILERS MUST BE TAGGED.

Spoiler tags look like this: [ spoiler ] enter your text [/ spoiler] (remove spaces). Or in the text edit bar you can click the button that looks like a square with a "+" in it and select "spoiler." Either one works. But use one. Zero tolerance from here out. That means InstaBan.

And DO NOT ask people to post bootlegs or leaked photos/clips. Those are also not allowed on the Hype.

Another note to all new posters....if you bring your arguments and animosities with other posters on other boards here....you will be banned for trolling. If you come here just to accuse one of our respected, long-standing members of this community of lying or trolling...you don't know what you are talking about, and YOU will be banned for trolling.

@ARMAN VAY didn't seem to read the memo nor care, which means...

I personally don’t want Gareth back because his darker, more realistic tone for Godzilla isn’t something that I really look forward to. I know that’s some people’s taste, but I more prefer...
Godzilla and Kong fighting like wrestlers and tag team throwing MG through a building.
I also think his whole “tease the monsters” approach is awful, and easily one of the most annoying things I’ve seen in a monster movie, period.

Well said.

Hence why I said unpopular opinion. :oldrazz:

That’s fair

Fleshing out my argument, I think even despite the flaws you presented (which are very much valid), Gareth Edwards really knows how to shoot and construct a scene. Despite the cocktease nature of the Hawaii and the initial San Francisco scenes, the build-up is utterly fantastic and the HALO jump sequence still gives me goosebumps to this day.

There's definitely improvements to be made, but I think Gareth Edwards could very much adapt to the current tone of the Monsterverse.
