So this pretty much confirms that Eddie will be Venom again.

You ever doubted he would be? He's going to be in a major motion picture, of course they're going to pimp him out come early next year.

1) Venom III got his butt whooped soooo easily (WTF?!)
2) The symbiote, a living being which has become more dominant then ever before, lets itself be sold as if it didn't have a choice, especially since the last times we saw Eddie-Venom, the symbiote was calling the shots.

Agreed. When that issue first came out many fans were upset at the ease that Spider-Man defeated the ScorpVenom. Some fans said that it was because Gargan wasn't used to the suit, and that's just BS. The symbiote knows Peter/Spidey. How many times has Gargan battled Spidey? And Spider-Man just practically walks right through him.

No. Millar was running out of time, in my opinion. Cut the fight short. Cut the fight with the Sinister Twelve short. Copped out on the ending with Goblin/Ock/Spidey. And pretty much just gave us another "Norman Osborn screws with Peter AGAIN" story that took away Eddie Brock from the Spidey mythos. And why? Because they're poopheads.

On another note, it's kinda cool reading the news of Eddie's non-death all over the net and knowing that such news wouldn't exist if I hadn't asked in the first place. I kinda feel like a celebrity right now.

But no, I'm not shocked about this at all. Especially if Venom is, in fact, appearing in the third film. And it seems very likely that he will. But what I would really like to see, before Eddie inevitably reclaims his suit, is a fight between Venoms 1 and 3. I dunno how it could happen. Maybe Eddie could get a fragment of the suit back or something, but I'd like to see Brock and Gargan, both in Venom suits, fighting for the whole thing. And they should both give each other a tough fight. They're both classic villains (moreso Gargan, who's been in Spidey's rogues gallery since the 60s) so this should be a classic fight of epic proportions.

Of course, knowing Marvel, they'll probably just have Eddie smack Gargan around and take the suit back in one or two pages. Next thing you know, Gargan's back to being the Scorpion. Ah, the status quo...

ONLY if Gargan ultimates goes back to being the Scorpion and Eddie becomes Venom again! I don't care how, Gargan! Get your old costume, get a new scorpion suit, kill the female Scorpion and take HER costume! Whatever! Just go back to who you were!
