Goosebumps v Are You Afraid of the Dark?

My pick is "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?" I was in my late teens when it first aired on TV and I still thought it was a cool show. Goosebumps? Not so much. I think Goosebumps was aimed at a mostly younger audience, while Are You Afraid Of The Dark? was made to appeal to a wider age ranged audience. Even my mom liked Are You Afraid Of The Dark? (and she was about 50 at the time).

I also feel some patriotic/civic pride in the show, as it was mostly shot in Richmond, BC, Canada (although I think some of the stories were shot in Montreal, but the campfire scenes and most of there stories were shot in and around Richmond BC). As a Canadian, I think that's kinda cool.

I had a huge fetish for Goosebumps books when I was a kid, had about 30+ of them, the show sucked though, I actually watched one yesterday, I notched it on Netflix, I watched The Haunted Mask, I was embarrassed and glad no one caught me watching it.

i enjoyed the Goosebumps books but was never really a big fan of the show

i enjoyed Are You Afraid of the Dark better. it was a lot more twisted than Goosebumps

Loved the goosebumps books, when it comes to shows Are You Afraid Of The Dark was better IMO. I found Goosebumps to be freaky and cheesy at the same time whilst AYAOTD was just downright scary sometimes and I've always loved the thrill of being scared.
