In this definition, it is a series of unproduced scripts in television format that combine to form a seasonal arc. There's no affiliation or endorsement by DC Comics whatsoever, and all characters are used without permission.
How many episodes have aired?
Four episodes of a planned thirteen.
What storylines are used/adapted?
A mix of various stories. None really dominates, even if Batman: Year One is a clear inspiration. The truest inspiration is probably a mixture of Smallville and Veronica Mars, trying to ground Bruce Wayne in a High School setting and exploring his life before he becomes Batman.
