Gothamcentral's Collection Thread

For that amount of money, I would rather chuck those generic movie posters out and replace those nice frames with original artwork or a more obscure movie posters...

I say go with movies that you like....don't put up an obscure movie poster just for it to be obscure, it has to be something you like......I would love to do more posters, but I just don't have the wall space...posters are Huge.....I'll stick with my Charcoal Sketches from Movie Scenes and Original Comic Art.

I actually like the way they look.....you look like you have the neatest collection here.....neat like tidy.

but for shame...your Unleashed contains no Bounty Hunters...the three best unleashed bigures ever were Boba Fett, Bossk and IG-88.

I used to be an MOC Freak (I think he meant Freak like Avid Fan, nike Neat Freak, but then ran with it when you misinterpretted, anyway) I used to have the hallway in my house lined from floor to celing with Marvel Legends figs, all of them, I was an uber MOC Completist.

Then one day I was just done.....

Thanks.

Yeah, I really need Boba! He's after Solo on the list!

They are not generic to me.

Also, master Replica`s Kicks ass....their lightsabers rock, I never got any of the ones like you got, but I have Luke, Obi and Vader`s full ones...the ones that light up and have sound....**** they rock....Also mamster Replicas rocks because of their 1:1 scale Kermit the frog I have and the other Muppets coming down the pipe.

Cool, I need Solo, Boba, Chewy and Stormstrooper. Then I can stop with this set.

Yeah, I love Master Reps. I want them to make a pulse rifle from Aliens!

yeah thats kinda my main gripe(ing) point, i can get any of those real movie posters for $10-$20 here... now if it was one of the original and highly sought after original trilogy, spideys pulled wtc poster, or signed by the cast posters.... then the money would be worth it. but not basic mass produced posters which all 3 are, star wars ep 3 may go for $50-$75 one day.. but thats really the only one ud make money off of.

and as for preserving figs... i dont get presserving to be honest unless u plan on selling... and i kinda look down on those who buy to sell is all

I'd like to see where you could them at this point in time for that price. Keep in mind they have to be original, if you now what that means.

Your gripe(ing) point makes not sense. You're basing it on YOUR taste, on what YOU like. Well, who care what you like? I'm not you. Don't tell someone that your taste or what you like is better then what they like, you will sound arrogant.

It's not about presserving. The card has art that I don't want destroyed. When I see your collection I think to myself, "This is a child collecting superhero figures." It's not just how you set them up or that they are out of the card. It's the type of toys you have. If that's what you like then there's nothing wrong with it, but it's not for me. I say all this with the most repect to you as a person.

And let me you an example:

They are original artwork. They are not reprints.

love the light saber and the posters...but MOC...eww...unleashed was made to be displayed...still you're stuff...

Pretty nice collection you got there Gothamcentral, I agree with you on the box art, its done by a local based (for me) studio Draxhall Jump. I don't personally keep my figures in boxes cause they take up too much space. but anyways nice collection

Sorry, but considering most of the Spiderman posters are out of print, I just don't beileve you.

dude, i live in LA... land of movies and most movie theaters in a city... it = more chances at movie posters. i can even help you out if you wanted. i have at least 1 poster for every marvel movie, and other then my X3 beast bus shelter poster, most ive paid is $25-$30 for the f4 silver surfer teaser. and at the places i go to, rarely is a poster not between $10-$25

what do you mean some of it's one of a kind? All original comic art is one of a kind

lol it was more of the charcoal movie art u mentioned, wasnt sure about it, so put that. i know original comic art is bud

I did them myself so they're original...

Okay I didn't,,,,and they aren't original...but cool as hell
