Because it looks like he nailed it out of the park with Gi Joe so why not

Key word is "looks."

They delayed the movie a whole year a month out from release. Seems like a pretty drastic move to me. Deadline is saying the movie was crap and it was probably going to bomb.

Oh good I missed the part where rumors are indeed considered truth. That's all just a rumor. Fact is besides what they said about 3d, noone knows if they're was another reason why it was postponed.

It's weird how the Rock is filling a niche of appearing in sequels to films he didn't originally star in.

If it's on Deadline.com it's pretty reliable.

I wonder if Sony will go forward with this. They haven't been having the best year as a company and Total Recall is flopping.

It does look a lot better than the first one. But so did Ghost Rider:SoJ.

Sorry, but I have to disagree there. I could tell Ghost Rider 2 was going to be crap from the first time I saw the trailer. And not just because it was a sequel to a terrible movie. It just looked bad in its own right.

So should He-Man to wear his usual costume in this still mythical reboot film - or lack thereof :cwink: - or should he go for something more like this -

That is not what I heard. I've read that Channing Tatum didn't get enough screen time due to his character getting killed real early in the movie. So the execs in there infinite wisdom said wanted them to reshoot because they want him in the movie.

Which makes no sense to me. Tatum's like flavor of the month ATM, but no one left GI JOE saying, "Hey you know what that movie needs? More Channing Tatum!"

I guarantee you the women that saw and loved Magic Mike and made it a hit ain't going to see GI JOE 2. Just like the women that make Matthew McConaghey's crappy romantic comedies big hits but would never step foot into SAHARA.

Grayskull can have a cape, but not He-Man.

There's also the matter of 21 Jump Street and Haywire firing up Tatum's Tinseltown popularity.

Haywire? That movie ****ing BOMBED! Yeah I get it the Vow, Magic Mike, and 21 Jump Street were all big hits. That's not going to translate to GI JOE.

The bean-counters at Paramount seem to think it will. That's the rumor anyway. :sus

Of course they do.

But I mean, after XXX and Fast and Furious Hollywood thought Vin Diesel was like the next Tom Cruise and that didn't work out very well. In fact, I think Vin Diesel was bordering on obscurit before his career was saved by Fast and Furious.

The Rock on his own has never been a draw either. And I like the Rock but I hope he never plays He-Man.

I see nothing wrong with having Dolph in this film. If he plays King Greyskull in some flashbacks, that couldn't possible turn the whole thing over, could it?
As for the other king, Randor, I want someone like Stellan Skarsgård. The present day king has more depth and bigger shoes to fill in the story, but that's a complately different thing and has nothing to do with Dolph.

I LOVE The Rock, but I don't want him anywhere near the role of He-Man!

****, they want Jon Chu again this time for He-Man? Why?

It's not that surprising considering how he was able to get alot of people excited over a sequel few wanted. I think if the script is strong he'll do fine.

He-Man is not unfilmable these days. It can be done considering the **** we've had the past few years regarding visual effects and location shoots.

A sequel Paramount was scared ****less about releasing this summer and still delayed a year one month out from release.

I think the first act of the film should be his journey to becoming He-Man...then 2nd act is him in full He-Man form fighting Skeletor.
