It's no secret that Smallville has managed to get some of the most kickass guest stars on their show, most of which are from previous Superman incarnations.

So I ask you, which of them are your favorites?

Goddam it, my internet is being ******ed. There was supposed to be a poll. sorry.

Helen Slater because I called it months before it was announced

the obvious and popular choice is Chris Reeve. Him aside, I always liked James Marsters.

:pal:

While I feel like Reeve is the most historical and legendary guest star to appear, but I'd have to say, in terms of biggest impact on the show, it'd have to be Terrence Stamp. He just seems to give a whole other dimension to Jor-El that has never really been seen on live action Superman incarnation.

I also want to acknowledge Michael McKean because he did a good portrayal of an early version of Perry White. Even though he was a jerk to everybody for most of the episode, he's still the kind of guy that you want to return.

Christopher Reeve. No question. Hands down.

The Flash and Aquaman.

Interesting question.

Although I would love to give it to Christopher Reeve (who has truly been the most iconic appearance), his character (Virgil Swann) didn't really do it for me.

I don't think Smallville's greatest guest star has shown up yet!! I would have to give it to either finally seeing Jor-El (in the flesh...hopefully played by Terrance Stamp) or Tom Welling as Superman (I consider it a seperate character from Clark Kent) flying around and in costume (even if it's a prototype...as long as he has the 'S' on his chest).

I'm surprised that SV has never wrangled Noel Niell or Jack Larson.

Michael McKean

Reeve was great to have on the show but his character didn't exactly do anything for me either. It felt too much of an excuse to bring back something from the time immemorial.

Also, I like Jensen Ackles' charisma but I'm not sure if you can count him as a guest star since he did a longer stretch on the series.

My first is obviously seeing Christopher Reeve on the show. But the show has had so many other great Guest stars.

Hulk says Bow Wow, which he knows is wrong, since Tori Spelling is the best. :p

Honestly though, I loved seeing Dean Cain, Helen Slater, and Sean Ashmore.

Oh, and lets not forget Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

Wasn't the other kid in Home Improvement also on the show?

Actually season two I think.

I always thought they should have the youngest of the Home Improvement kids just to round out the guest stars. :p

Michael McKean was terrific as Perry White, hope he can do at least one more guest appearance before the series is over.

Yea thats a tough question to ask they have gotten many great guest stars over the years. For me i guess i would see Reeve and then masters.

For me, like so many other is Christopher Reeve.
After him I would have to go with Dean Cain, Terrance Stamp (not as Jor El but for that brief two seconds as Zod, okay also for Jor El), hell even Margot Kidder it was nice to see her looking sane.

I know the chances are slim to none, but I wonder what it would take to get Gene Hackman, Teri Hatcher, and even John Shea to make guest star spots on the show.

so nobody else thinks Marsters is a great guest star? :csad:

Christopher Reeve
James Marsters
Terrence Stamp
Micheal McKean
Dean Cain

In that order, although I agree with someone elses post when they said that the best is yet to come (hopefully). Jor-El in the flesh would be awesome! As would Superman!
