Well, we've had vocalist, guitarist and overall band. I think it's time to have a thread asking who the greatest rock 'n' roll drummer of all time. Yes, I'll probably leave out a bunch (hence the other catigory)

Tough one, but I'll have to throw Neil Peart's name into the mix, here.

Close thread. This one is not even up for debate. Cosmic Truth here.
Don't say Neil Peart. Don't say Keith Moon. Don't say Meg White (lol).
Say "John Bonham...John Henry BONHAM!"

I really just forgot a lot of people and added some people who don't deserve to be there... Oh well, I expect 'Other' to fill up quickly and I apoligize. Anyway, I say Keith Moon.

Ringo Starr. BWWWAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!

Neil Peart!

Alex Van Halen probably deserves a mention as well.

Grrrr, now I wish there were a way to edit polls :(

Johnny Cash's drummer and Don Henley? LOL
Don Henley is a MONSTER, man!
Poundin' that s***!

Johnny Cash's drummer isn't one of the ones I feel was a mistake to put up there. He was instrumental in the whole Johnny Cash sound. Just as much as Cash was himself.

Ringo is really underrated, but he doesn't deserve a vote. From anyone.

Probably not the best but Rick Allen of Def Leoppard always impressed me.

I didn't even know Ringo takes crap from people. I always thought he was very well respected. I don't think the Beatles would have been the same without him.

Wow. Then drum machines must really blow your mind. There's a reason that he was able to continue with the band even after losing an entire arm. lol

He was better than Pete Best, and he's fairly good technically, but in every other respect he's only decent.

Neil Peart was the bands writer, or how learned people say Lyricisicisit.
he wrote about "flying by night" and "bastille day" with a healthy dose of dragons and magicians for the Van driving sector of the populace.

Yep. He's pretty average as a drummer. There's also a lot of controversy over whether Starr even actually laid down the studio tracks for some of the Beatles material. The mysterious "ghost drummers", one of which a guy by the name of Purdue claims to be.

Yes I know this but still being a drummer and losing an arm could ruin some people but he fought on. Of course he had bills to pay and there probably are not many jobs for a one arm man except as hired killlers.
