You think it's like that but:

when we first see them, they meet on a train, but when he start wiping his memories the train is nowhere to be seen so they both had to have their memories wiped before, and then met, and then she wiped her memories AGAIN only to have the guy wipe HIS memories AGAIN in retaliation, but the Kirsten Dunst chick who performed the whole thing also had her memory wiped because she had an affair with the owner of the mind-wiping company but that other guy is in love with her and Elijah Wood is in love with Jim Carrey's girlfriend and then it's all useless anyway because Kirsten Dunst restores everyone's memory and....

As you see, the plot is WAY too complicated for me to follow.
To use your favored posting style:

1.Everything up until the opening credits happened after the memory-wipe.Their memories were only erased once.

2.Kirsten Dunst doesn't restore anybody's memory. She just informs them that they had their memories erased.

3.If you refuse to look beyond the surface a movie,do you really have a right to complain about it confusing you?

Friday The 13th Part VIII, when Jason chases the two heroes through a crowded subway with no problem and happens to get on the train.

You'd expect someone to notice him, try and stop him, or at least run from him, but "movie magic" makes him happen to appear in the train.

The revelation at the end of the Village. That was a real what the hell moment IMO.

GREATEST WHAT THE HELL MOMENT EVER:

Casshern: at the end after several nuclear bombs go off (???) the two survivors just EXPLODE ( ) while there kissing, as they are demolicurizing they burst into outer space!!

Power Rangers the movie- when the Rangers pushed that emergency button that apparently allows the megazord to kick its enemies in the banana sack

'66 Batman- (1)when the shark (or was it a dolphin?) sacrificed itself to save Batman and Robin (2)when Batman couldn't get rid of the bomb

Almost every moment of Lost in Translation. Scratch that.

Every bloody moment was a WTH moment.

I haven't seen it, but Match Point by Woody Allen (which looks like an erotic type of thriller) and he usually does comedies.
