I am totally on board with this.
Seriously, Dwayne would knock this out of the park as John Stewart.

(and while I don't really care if they connect the TV shows with the movies, pairing little fanboy Gustin with The Rock would be hilarious).
So if JL comes out in 2017, Rock will be 44. And at the very earliest, a solo GL movie would come out in 2020, where he will be 47. Certainly getting up there.
I think they'll reboot the GL series after Justice League with one movie with John Stewart, where he will probably die, leaving the ring for an Alan Scott, or Hal Jordan, or Guy Gardner?

The important thing is he won't be getting old alone. Cue Affleck. So if JL comes out in 2017, Rock will be 44. And at the very earliest, a solo GL movie would come out in 2020, where he will be 47. Certainly getting up there.
Stop casting Bradley Cooper for every superhero, please.

Thanks, broHe's a great actor, and he'd make a fantastic Flash or Green Lantern, but yeah I too am getting tired of seeing that suggestion...
Hasn't Cooper been suggested for Aquaman as well?Seriously, Cooper would be nice in some roles, same as Elba. But there are some roles they are recommended for that make no sense to me.
Thanks, bro
It should be Gyllenhaal for GL, but I doubt he's interested.
Then offer Zegers the role.

Yeah he's been suggested for that, Batman, and pretty much every other male superhero.
I need to watch more of Zegers... i keep seeing him suggested for stuff but I'm not that familiar with his work
No need to reboot....... include the 2011 GL movie into the current DC universe, just recast Hal Jordan, ignore certain aspects shown in the earlier movie that conflict with current continuity (tie it loosely ). Introduce John Stewart in the movie as a new GL.
As it is ... reboot won't ensure success.. as people would be dismissive of another GL movie as the first one did not do well.

In addition to including almost nothing from 2011 since it conflicts with MOS, if you don't want people to associate this film with the original, wouldn't a reboot be a better idea with a sequel... basically, make it as different from 2011 as possible?
So basically, reboot it. Because there really isn't anything in the 2011 movie that is slightly compatible with MoS.

I think that a GL reboot would not excite many people. The 2011 movie followed Hal Jordan's origin story more or less faithfully, .
Hooo...leee...crap.
Ah...no, no they didn't. Not surprisingly, the elements that were drawn from GL Vol. 1, Emerald Dawn, Secret Origin, etc..were the ones that worked. It was the new elements (the screwed-up Parallax, the screwed-up Hector with his ridiculous daddy issues, and Hal wussing out after fighting Sinestro) that hampered the movie's progression. When Hal quits the Corps, you can almost see the WB execs stepping in to meddle for the sake of the GA sheeple. That's always a mistake.
