Yeah, it should. Haven't heard 3D mentioned with GL but I hope it happens.

would be cool. god seeing the contructs in 3d would be wicked. but i doubt they would do it with an unproven character. Maybe at most 2-3 scenes converted into 3d but i doubt the whole movie will be. Since wb and campbell has stated they have a set budget they are trying to stay in.

Up! and Avatar proved to me that 3D is the next step in immersion. People called sound and colour gimmicks when they came out, saying that they ruined the imagination of cinema!

It will be 'gimmicky' as long as it is new, but the more films use it in a respectable way the more it will be accepted.

3D and IMAX are a new twist that gives movie theaters the ability to compete with Home Video, Pay Per View and piracy. As long as the quality of 3D is high and the experience is better than watching 2D, there will be a demand for it.

they already started working on this movie before Avatar. not filming but all planning how to film it and what team to use.

if WB will like what happens with Harry potter and Clash of titans then i wouldnt be suprised if they convert it. but for using 3D cameras? its to late now.

They could bring in huge money by doing it in 3D, although I'm sure it could hit 300 million in 2D. 3D constructs and outer space battles, come on, how could anyone not want that? The only thing I wouldn't want is 3D eating up all the budget, this movie needs to look amazing.

Avatar was written more than 15 years ago, and I think they started development on it within the last 10 years. Green Lantern certainly wasn't even being thought of seriously as a major motion picture until after the Star Wars films (Episodes I - III) were completed. A script for the film wasn't started until 2007.

Yea for me as i said earlier with wb going for what i think was around 150million for this film's budget and since they dont know if gl will be a big thing yet. Its safer to just stick to regular filming and all that. Though my guess is the film will probably be shot in regular 2d and all that. So then if the call comes next year before release for a 3d conversion or to convert a few scenes to 3d they could do it. Though i doubt the whole film will be 3d.

My take on this 3D situation is, I don't think this fil's going to be in 3D, Why? Well, first of all I think it's budget, & also studio have to look at how succesful this film will be. So, I think Green Lantern 2, might be in 3D, that's just my opinion.

WHY SO SERIOUS?

if this movie is in 3D then I'm 99% sure the Superman film will be as well.

After seeing Alice in Wonderland in 3d conversion, lets just say the future isn't looking so good for 3D if the persistence is to convert the films to 3D. Compared to Avatar it's flat and people will notice it. I agree with Cameron's remarks, Hollywood are going about 3D in the wrong way. Sorry Hollywood, try again.

I saw the trailer to Alice in Wonderland in 3D and it looked pretty good.

Watch the film then come back to me. Compared to Avatar, the 3D is poor.

Not that it really matters, but since GL will be in 3D that's how I will go see it....the first time anyway.

Well they are early enough into production that they can actually film it in 3D like avatar.

The emblem/badge will look really cool in 3D, that's how they draw it in the comics now.

Well WB, you just got another 20 bucks from me.

I'll go first to see it in 2D, then immediately afterward see it in 3D, then 2D again, then 3D again. That'd be it for the first day.

If any film deserves the 3D treatment, it's this.
