If you were running a business would you want to spend that on a show you weren't making a profit on and a character that most of the general public don't seem to care for?

The best thing they could do is continue the story in the tie-in comic series.

Ditto on the show. I don't think it would be profitable to continue the comic either tho. Hal will never be the GA's cup of tea. They've given it plenty of tries &lost a lot of money. Time to cut losses

COULD YOUNG JUSTICE AND GREEN LANTERN THE ANIMATED SERIES RETURN AS CROWDFUNDED PROJECTS?!

Today two separate crowd funding entries for Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series popped up. The purpose? If enough votes are had, then the next step would be crowdfunding.

If both shows get 2,500 votes, then the funding process will go forward.

As of this article being written, Young Justice is at 32% and Green Lantern: The Animated Series is at 8.2%. These campaigns appear to be, if not backed by Warner Brothers, at least cleared by them.

So it's sort of a KickStarter thing, but apparently being organized by a site called SMGO.

I want in on that YJ action & I'm willing to put some bread to it if necessary

No and this is why I've said that Green Lantern doesn't sell. I don't know how the GL series could be made after the live-action movie wasn't doing well.

Woa I really didn't know it cost that much to make this show!!! Yeah then it makes sense to cut their losses on this. Such a shame really because although I'm not a GL fan I've always thought the character and the world he lives in always had potential to be the greatest comic to film/tv adaption.

Worked for Brave and The Bold too.

Brave and the Bold was an awesome funny show. it even went darker than any other batman cartoon at times, i was hoping ultimate spider-man would be the same but it doesn't hold a candle

I guess I estimated the cost a little too high. Still, at just under $1 million per episode, I am pretty sure they decided to abandon the project to do a CGI Batman series, which would get a lot better ratings. I really hope the cloud funding effort is successful, although I am not sure that there is enough support for a $20 million season. Maybe a string miniseries (say 5 episodes at a time) covering classic story arcs would be a avenue to take. You could cloud fund each one separately. I am sure you could get 2 to 3 million fans to pay a couple bucks each to finance a saga like Emerald Twilight, or the Sinestro Corps War, or Blackest Night (as long as the feature characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash in the series).

Beware the Batman season 1 is getting a blu-ray release, Batman: the Brave and the Bold season 1 has been released, hope burns bright?!
