I do feel the new batch is underrated. I absolutely loved it. I'd love a third film, but a reboot seems unnecessary. Also I love that the commercial used puppetry and not CGI. Proves it can still look great.

the first movie IMO would be today R. a gremlins movie that is modern pg13 would suck.

i dont think the new movie should be R. the mpaa needs to be destroyed.

the problem (as usual) is that it's the time period that made the movie. you can't remake the time period. so the movie won't work.

I think the Gremlins themselves work as puppets. Thats' the charm and I can see it being destroyed.

if the CGI gremlins are animated like puppets i think it can work and made them even more funny.

I can get behind a sequel/reboot over just a complete reboot. Respect the original two films and move forward from there.

Have an everlasting eclipse and the gremlins take over.

Just do what most studios do in order to satisfy everyone and no one. Make it a rebooted sequel. New characters along with original ones that have never encountered each other. Biggest loophole ever.

I hope they don't look vastly different. I don't mind cg, so long long as it's Yoda level f/x…...but my biggest fear is that they'll change up the '3 rules' - which is part of the fun of the whole Gremlins lore.

Think they just need to sell Gizmo well to the younger unaware audience. Who can hate that character? Kids will def be interested in it just for that. As long as it looks decent or recognizable they will have the 25-40 year old crowds money. Crazy, that pretty much everything from the 80s has either been or is in production at this point. Was really hoping Neverending Story would get a new treatment.

Creature features are so rare nowaydays that I think this will play really well. Hopefully the writer and director know how to balance the horror and comedy. And they keep the puppets while only using cg to enhance. That's essential.

Would like to see Chloe Bennet as Kate.

i love gremlins 2, it amazes me how so many dont see it as a self knowing spoof of the first movie.

its really underrated
