"Guardian Archangel:" The Official Character Discussion Thread

Only 5-10 minutes of screentime. I absolutely hated that.

On the brightside though, I thought his flight scenes were some of the more beautiful and breathless scenes in the movie. Especially at the end, when you see a little kid in the park watching Angel soar above him.

Which I absolutely loved, seeing as how Warren served as a symbol of peace and beauty, after the President's speech on TV.

I'm an angel fan. And was disapointed with his screentime. What a wasted opportunity, like Rogue too.

I was hopping for some interaction between them, but no, nothing.

Really sad. the first animated serie had it and was better than what we have got in x3.

I really think they cut some stuff with Angel, I mean what was all that about him 'kicking bad guy ass'.

According to The Ones, there was a scene where Angel was actually fighting in the battle. But it was cut.

He also said that there was a Juggernaut Vs Colossus fight, in front of Kitty!

X3 didn't give Angel the justice his Character deserved . For one thing he didn't get much screen time. And another we really didn't see him fight. Althought seeing him fly was amazing .

That was one of my biggest disappointments, as a fanboy.

I wanted some Original 5 interaction, but meh.

Hey, but there could be some definite truth to that. After all, Starlog did confirm a fight between the two. Maybe we'll get to see it on the DVD, at the very least.

Unfortunately, Angel did suffer from poor development.

But, if he gets a bigger part in future movies, I won't feel as sad about it.

i wish they made warren an original member in this flick. probably wouldve gone with an older actor, even though ben was decent. wouldve made him more like the comics too.

Shorter length = More showtimes = More $$

You'd figured after how X2 made $200 million with it's 2+ hour length, Fox wouldn't care how long the movie is...

The problem was that he wasn't given enough time to develop. Angel pretty much had to grow to love his wings in the comics, and they started to show it... but he didn't have enough time to develop.

They really could've went into further explanation about that.

Maybe in a future movie, a new screenwriter (hopefully!) can correct that plothole by explaining it.

I know, he took the guts and effort to actually try and completley cut them off his body. Then he doesn't want a quick injection to cure himself. Kind of a continuity error.

For a kid it could be pretty traumatic.

But yeah, the wings are pretty sweet.

I gotta say Angel was one of the few areas I was disappointed with. I had "that's it?" feeling.
