Uh...so is yours?

I don't think I can do this. How do you debate an illogical person?

You should know. You keep criticizing the parts of Annihilation and you're still reading it. Wendell's dead. But he still died fighting. So respect that and get over it.

What the hell are you talking about? I'm reading AC to see Peter, Ronan, Kl'rt, Rocket and Mantis. Phyla being a *****e is only a small part of it.

But everyone of these heroes are fighting against the Phalanx. It doesn't matter if it's a talking animal or a lesbian alien. They're all fighting to save innocent lives. That bravery deserves respect.

Um, they're not real, man. It's fiction. Fictional characters don't deserve anything because they can't deserve anything because they're not real.

I didn't see a thread about this.

http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.2281.EXCLUSIVE:_New_Guardians_of_the_Galaxy_Series

I'm looking forward to this new series, as somebody who never followed the old concept and incarnations. I remember awhile back when legendary and iconic writer/artist extraordinaire, John Byrne (!!!), declared that if he returned to M***** (aka... Marvel), he'd be interested in doing a new Guardians series. I thought that would be a perfect fit for him, so part of me wishes that he was the guy, but the other part is perfectly happy about this, because Paul Pelletier is a great artist who needs to be given stability.

The guy can draw 12 issues a month, yet Marvel just won't let him do that for whatever reason. Hopefully, this will be the place they allow him to make his mark. Was looking forward to a nice run by him on Nova's series, so hopefully, this doesn't end up as another case of Marvel not knowing what they are doing, with Pelletier launching the new series, and then moving on after 6 issues. I also hope Marvel doesn't do anything moronic like publishing more than 12 issues a year like they are doing with New Exiles, preventing their 12 issue a year artist from doing an uninterrupted that's run not hampered by fill-in art. STUPID!

Anyway, I do have high hopes for this concept. I'm sure a few disgruntled fans of the old series still remain, but I wasn't one of them, so this is the first time I've been excited or interested in Guardians of the Galaxy. I didn't read any of the Annihilation stuff.

I'll give it a shot -

Exactly. And it's in outer space. If you can't buy into these characters then just play an RPG. But if such a thing ever really happened, it doesn't matter who they are. They fought to save lives, and that makes them all heroes.

Are you smoking crack?

No, are you? It appears these comics aren't doing you any good. You're favoring which heroes meet your standards but all of these characters are fighting to save lives. Everyone of them are in the same danger.

Trapped in a galaxy surrounding by an overwhelming enemy, death or assimilation are their inevitable fates. But these few have decided to stand and fight for a slim chance to beat the Phalanx invaders. It doesn't matter who they are. In a crisis like that, one should hope they can win not who is the last person standing. To fear otherwise only diminishes their struggle.

After escaping the Phalanx, the Rider awoke in “Nova” #8 to find himself in Knowhere, a bizarre city housed inside the floating armored head of a deceased Celestial. In “Nova” #9, Rider assisted Knowhere’s protector, Cosmo, a telepathic Russian dog in battling a threat to the city, before departing to begin the next leg of his journey. “Nova will be going back, but Knowhere (and Cosmo) will feature more significantly in our new project--‘The Guardians of the Galaxy’!” DnA confirmed.
I think I just peed myself.

I'd like to know why Marvel is still saying Pelletier is the new ongoing artist on Nova in some articles, and telling us that it's just a quick stop before he launches the new Guardians series in other articles.

A Cosmo/Rocket team up would rock. Telephatic, super-smart, Russian Space dog + wise-cracking, anthrophomorphic raccon tactician= magic

I don't care who's on the roster for this team, Cosmo = instant win.

Cosmo's inclusion definitely gets me more excited for the Guardians of the Galaxy. I still wish they would use a different name, though.

You don't even know what the hell you're saying after that, do you?
