Ah, sorry, 2nd season starts here tomorrow so wasn't sure how much was shown. I don't want to give it all away but the The Ancients and the Master are [BLACKOUT]linked to Angels[/BLACKOUT] so that gives you some indication of how old they are. The Master/Sardu is the youngest though.

I would not have expected them [BLACKOUT]to be linked to Angels, that gives the show a supernatural side while I thought it would be more grounded[/BLACKOUT].
Note : I spoiled myself reading WIKI Strain but it was worth it.

Did you read the spoilers of the 2nd and 3rd books as well? As they go into ore detail, but you will spoil a lot for yourself if you do, I wouldn't recommend it but up to you.

Me to. The new guy just looks like a "regular" bad guy. But I can't lie, the ending the other day was shocking. I have never read the books but loving the show right now. Especially now that "Blade" has come on the scene.

I loved how Quinlan trolled the Master by saying that his new form "lacked intimidation". I think that was a highbrow way of calling him a pencil-neck geek.

I'm confident this episode will make even the non-book readers a Quinlan fan. What a bad ass.

Setrakian's eye rolling and comment about Fet's love life being of "no consequence" got a big laugh from me.

Fet was a bit annoying this week, but only becauae experience tells me that what Fet is doing won't win Dutch's heart. I can certainly sympathize with Fet because let's be honest that girl left Dutch, the girl she professed to love, in the middle of a store beseiged by vamps. And now she comes back into Dutch's life and Dutch wants Fet to be ok with it. Its not ok, but Fet has to reign it in and discuss it with Dutch not pout and make snide remarks and stick his chest out at Eph like some sort of pissed off ape. Dutch is going to get tired of that **** and end up telling Fet to **** off. Fet already has the sprained ankle girl beat. Dutch will realize who has her back and it isnt her flaky undependable girlfriend. Fet just has to handle this maturely. And in the meantime take his frustration and rage out on vamps.

Episode 8 "Intruders" Yes Quinlan teaming up with Gus! Kelly and the spider kids attacking Eph, Nora and Zack was pretty cool too.

I hope with what's happened in this episode, it finally convinces Eph's brat that his mom is on the dark side... if the little s**t doesn't FINALLY get it by NOW, then he's just dumber than a box of rocks and a bag of wet sand combined...

I was almost hoping he'd get stung and finally learn his lesson but that would be too hard a lesson. At least this way now he can stop pretending the world is full of unicorn farts that magically heal the sick and realize his mother as he knew her is dead and it is a messed up world he now lives in.

Poor Gus, things were just looking up for him when Quinlan rocks up with a destiny speech.

Little miss PA is definitely working Palmer, what a trooper for the cause!

So was Eichorst trying to get the Lumen for himself? The sequence where Ratman and old cane sword guy stopped him was cool.

Hopefully the kid gets it about his mother. I know he's a kid who just wants his mom back and the show has to create some angst, but this plot point needs to end.

He is more an antagonist than the Master or his minons are at this point. I can't say I hate the kid but I really dislike him (which is the point but I think it is a point too well hammered).
