Fantasy Guy Ritchie Directing Disney's Aladdin

I am bias, but I think she fit Belle very well and I really enjoy her performance. When people talking about the singing, you'd think she was Brosnan in Mama Mia. They auto tuned her a bit (on higher notes), and she isn't powerful, but her singing is perfectly fine. I say this as one who owns the soundtrack and listens to it plenty.

I seem to recall hearing Brosnan's voice coming out of Emma Watson for BatB. It was male and Irish. I thought it was the Beast at first but then he sounded like Meryl Streep. :o

Watson was cast because she was a holdover from the Del Toro version at Warner Bros, which she was attached to, and that version was not a musical. And Disney was like, "oh look, a star who's already on board to be Belle, how convenient." She should've recognized her weaknesses and bowed out, but oh well.

If Lily James hadn't been so perfect for Cinderella, I'd say I wished they switched roles because with her naturally dark hair she would've been a fantastic Belle, but alas, I'd change nothing about Cinderella. It was the better movie and deserved the better lead.

I wish we had a sequel to Cinderella with Lily James. Don't know what it would be about, but I just want to see more of her as that character. Maybe Lady Tremaine could come back for revenge?

But who says Lily James couldn't have been both Cinderella AND Belle? Unless this is a Disney cinematic universe, there was nothing stopping them from casting her in two separate roles.

I’ll probably get brutally murdered by an angry mob for posting this, but, hey, what do I care?

I like the performance of the 3 leads, and like critics said Jafar was indeed almost non-existent. Unfortunately what is apparently Disney live-action's strengths (great set pieces and musical performance) didn't exactly wow me, the visual accompanying A Whole New World wasn't really impressive.

In the end I neither regret buying ticket at the most premium screen for this nor want to see it in theater again.

Edit:

London premiere.

Gosh why I haven't noticed this before, that pant-skirt hybrid looked horrendous.

Though I think both Naomi and her husband need to have a word with the stylists who styled them for the London premiere, their outfit was perfect except her pant-skirt and his footwear.

3 wishes....a pitchfork's at least one of them.... (post Grace all you like dude, people can just not view the video).

Have no idea. People bring this woman up a lot, but I know next to nothing about her. Nor do I care to learn anything about her. I don't know why anyone takes this woman, who is effectively a vlogger, as such gospel.

Why do people keep posting her?

I think Grace got traction in spring 2016, when she was the most vocal defender of BvS, which she considered a masterpiece. She then got a large following from DC fans, and in the same year she also suggested that CA: CW got such high RT because Disney bribed critics. After getting a large following from a certain kind of people, she started to blog according to the taste of her fan base. I remembered her initially giving TLJ a quite favourable review, but then it turned out that the movie was extremely controversial among her following and she gradually changed her tune. Same with Black Panther. Now she's either someone to mock or someone to listen to, that's why her videos are usually posted to get attention.

Good for her that she can get clicks on her videos and earn a living. But she ain't getting them from me because I don't care, LOL!

Plus I think some people would like to listen to her reading audio books or as the new voice of Siri. :o

Hahaha.

Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I refuse to watch her videos and personally I don't think she knows what she's talking about when it comes to film and cinema...like most modern day "critics"/bloggers.

Lets hope Jessica Chastain never needs to ask Siri anything then....

If Grace were the voice of Siri, every time you asked it something and she began to speak, you'd want to shoot it.
