Sorry dude; I couldnt resist. :D

No sweat though, eh? - everyone makes spellnig mistakes from time to time.

Damn, disappointed for Lobo, even though it was inevitable when Ritchie left.

Don't give a crap about Green Hornet though.

saw the news about lobo, had a feeling it was likely to be in developmental hell for awhile. Ever since guy left the project. Oh well we will probably not see lobo for a few yrs or so if that.

to be frank, I think WB should focus a bit more on their bigger DC properties and THEN work their smaller projects in between. I mean, if you put effort into a Lobo movie before the likes of Flash or Wonder Woman, then I think you need to straighten up your priorities.

Why though?

Just because a character is A List doesn't make them a good character automatically.

Just because a character is B or C List doesn't make them a bad character automatically.

Personally, I'd rather see a ultra violent, satirical, action comedy comic book movie LONG before i see a Wonder Woman or even another Superman movie.

The comic book genre needs spicing up. Otherwise people will get bored of these traditional goody two shoes formulaic origin stories.

I've seen no shortage of commercials for The Losers and the buzz is generally positive, so I don't see why WB would be upset about that. Granted, that may change when actual reviews come out, but it looks like WB has nothing to really worry about there. It likely won't be a blockbuster, but it will likely make its money back.

Lobo is only an interesting property with someone with a specific take on the material attached. Until they find another director, it's really not worth worrying about.

But, I do think it's healthy for WB to exploit all genres that DC publishes. Heck, much of DC's non-superhero stuff is easier to adapt anyways. There's no reason DC/WB couldn't have a presence in all quarters of the year. Western, horror, war, comedy, drama, thriller, etc.

with The Losers, you have to understand that some of these scoops could be legit or half legit. some info could be third hand (not even second hand) so I don't know. Honestly, George of Latino Review has seen it and he said it was fun. Harry Knowles has mentioned that he heard the movie was fun (but light).

yea personally i would love to see more a listers get films. but with wb in the past they just didnt seem to gun ho on certain characters. so i can see why they would take a less risk doing a film like lobo which could be shot for like 80million dollars and at least double/triple its production cost in box office. then gamble 200million on a film that could blow up on them. though i wish for wb/dc to get any character to big screen.

Why should A Listers get first dibs though?

Like i said, A List characters ain't automatically great characters. And people who think they automatically are great characters need to stop being sheep.

"Yea but this A Lister has 60 years of history!"

"Yea? Who gives a ****? Doesn't mean they are worth **** or would make a good movie"

oh yea it shouldnt matter if its a list or not. as i said i wish to see any character get their due.

Well, Marvel has made movies based on their "lesser" characters like Ghost Rider, Daredevil, and Punisher before their A-list characters like Iron Man, Thor, and Capt. America; I don't think WB must have Wonder Woman & Flash movies before Lobo, esp. since they are very comfortable developing Vertigo movies like V For Vandetta, Jonah Hex, and The Losers whom GA knew very little about.

But I think there's a bit more of an urgency with DC movies because Ghost Rider came out when X-Men, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man were already established.

yea hopefully now things are changing with the whole DCE thing, and we will see more a list and lower list characters get their time to shine.

I discovered "Lobo" about a month ago, I got the graphic novel, "Portrait of a Bastich" and thought it was hilarious. (It has The Last Czarnian and Lobo's Back mini series within it.) Now I just got Lobo: The Authority/Holiday Hell & waiting for it to come in. Are there anymore Lobo graphic novels about him? It seems most are out of print, I was thinking about getting Highway to Hell, but I don't know if it's worth it or not. I also got 52, Volume 2 where he appears as a changed man, (No more violence. ha :woot:)

I'm pretty bummed they're not doing anything with this movie, I'd love to see it. He's in his own little part of the galaxy away from everyone else in DCU, well mostly. Maybe if Fox gets Deadpool out and it does well, they'll consider doing Lobo. Since they have similar traits.

I think it would be cool for Lobo to make an appearance in the Green Lantern film, just seeing him in a space-bar would be pretty cool, but it's just wishful fanboy thinking.

And definitely Kevin Durand for Lobo. From the roles I've seen him in, I just think he has the ability to do Lobo perfectly.
