HAHA! It's funny reading peoples reviews of the film.
Well, it seemed to fit with the teme of the film, I guess. However, that really can't be compared to Nights In White Satin. That song kicks ass.I thought 'Love Hurts' stuck out like a sore thumb.
Agreed. Just saw the movie.........I thought it was pure garbage. I didn't like the remake all that much, but I thought it was okay, but this move just takes it to a whole different level of horse****! I didn't care for any of the characters save Sheriff Brackett. Zombie tried to make this movie his own and he did......which is too bad cause his vision of this movie is crap. Convoluted, too dark in many scenes and utterly insane with the visions. I give this movie a 2/10.
I really like House of 1,000 Corpses, and loved Devil's Rejects. Those movies fit Zombie's style perfect, but his style does not translate well with slasher films as evidenced by his two entries into the genre. He tried to be original and he was, but being original isn't always a good thing. This movie deserves the under performing B.O. and all the negative reviews it gets.
Liked this much better the second time around. It's better than the remake.
My problem regarding the music is it has too many soundtrack songs, and not enough, if any, score music. A different take on the old theme would have been nice, but it would have been nice to have some sort of theme music; Well written scores can add such an atmosphere to give people chills, but this movie was too silent in that regard, I'll have to rewatch RZH's first one to remind myself how the music was in that.
And yes, I'll agree 'Love Hurts' was the oddest song to pick for a stripper dance. Yeah that may have been how she was feeling in her head, but I'm sure there are better songs that are more believable in that setting.
No, your wrong. The classic "stalk" beats are still in the movie. Just not the actual Halloween theme till the very end.
http://www.shocktilyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=11595A tipster calling himself "The Egg Man" is making the rounds on the genre news circuit alerting all editors of a potential for Halloween 3D.
Over the weekend, Bob Weinstein of Dimensionhttp://www.shocktilyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=11595# revealed to the L.A. Times that they'll be moving forward on a third 3-D chapter for the summer of 2010 with a new director attached. According to "The Egg Man," that director is Steve Miner, who also helmed Halloween: H20.
Miner's credits also include Friday: Part 2, Friday the 13th: Part 3, which was released in 3-D, House, and Lake Placid. Since then he's been doing a lot of television work. Recently, he helmed the Day of the Dead remake.
No doubt he's a seasoned genre vet and has had experience with Myers, but is the right man to turn the franchise around?
Yeah, but their are still some that didn't like it.^^ I only saw half of it and tbh, it was bad. However, H20 was great in alot of peoples minds as well.
I've seen it twice now and I do not remember hearing any of the original music score in this one until the very end with the main theme.
I know, it's the only place they have left. They're milk this call for all its worth.Steve Miner, really? Ugh. Possibly going back to the old continuity? Double Ugh...

True. Well, I guess we can only hope for the best.Yeah, but their are still some that didn't like it.

Sounds like they could possibly go back to the old series with this picture.
I like this as well. This is awesome news, IMO. I mean, seriously, this is great.![]()
Only when the zombies became Spiderman...The day of the dead remake was not really good at all.
I dislike this.Possibly going back to the old continuity? Double Ugh...
Agreed.H20 is an amazing movie.![]()
Yeah, thats the one right there.I think your talking about the "Stalk Theme". It kinda goes "dun-dun. dun-dun. deet deet deet deet deet..." It a simple Synth tone, but you hear it in the Hospital scenes primarily at the beginning.
Yeah, okay.Think in the original Halloween after laurie stabs Micxhael in the eye with a Coat hanger and he "passes out, then after she tells the kids to get help, and in the back ground you see Michael sit up and start coming after her. The music playing is what I am referring to. And Zombie used it a bit in H2.
Stay out of the fanfic in my head!I want them to go back to the old continuity. At least give Michael a proper send-off beyond Resurrection. I hate to say it, but at least kill him or something. Get Josh Harnett to come back to be the final piece, the last of the bloodline for now that Michael wants, and have him kill him. Come on, maybe even Josh's character wants revenge sinc eMichael actually got Laurie in resurrection.
