'H2', Rob Zombie's sequel to 'Halloween'

In the original Halloween, they really didn't have any explanation why he was killing at all, he just did.

I'm not wanting a reboot...

There was 1 and 2...a third film which rebooted the franchise int something new.

Many feel that 4-6 was an alternate reality, and therefore a reboot (I do not agree).

Water was a reboot.

Zombies Halloween was a reboot.

If this series actually needs ANOTHER reboot to correct ship, then it isnt worth saving.

That's not original by the standards of slasher films either...the "the killer wasn't really there and it was all in her head" routine has been done numerous times by horror films in the past several years.

And Zombies "vision" for Halloween sucked...royally.

That's the main reason I don't want them to do it.

I want the two wretched wastes that he added to this franchise dead and buried, and I want to move on completely and forget that they ever existed.

They should just do an F13 style reboot that doesn't go out of its way to say that the events of previous films never happened, but doesn't directly pick up where the last one left off either.

I hate Rob's version of not only Halloween, but of Michael as a character. I get pissed off just hearing the name Rob Zombie now.

Hopefully the next installment, is well thought out and cant get the series back on the right track.

Zombies movies recreated the events of the original 1-5. Its all there (except Jamie...and Laurie ends up pretty much like Jamie had by then...)

There is no need for a reboot...simply get a new director and move forward. My preference would be to merge the stories of part 6 and Water, so that Laurie is a young mother who send her daughter (but not her son) out as bait for Michael and the two have a final confrontation. Then youd be right where you need to be for all the various reboots to have a definitive future together.

After that, future sequels could follow Tommy with the baby, and maybe keep Brackett and Lauries son aruond...

Even with a new director, Rob's Jason-esque version of Michael will still suck...this isn't the Shape at all.

There's plenty of need for a reboot. Even with Zombie gone, I doubt a Halloween film with the version of Michael that he created will be very good.

Honestly, I think Dimension needs to put this series to bed for a couple years, and come back with a new direction. I'm content (somewhat) with where Rob ended it, and to be honest, I don't want to see anyone else try to push this storyline, or "fix" it like they did with the Cult of Thorn bullcrap. It was a couple years between 5 and 6, and I remember hearing what was up with the Thorn thing, it seemed like a huge letdown and at times made zero sense (why in the hell did he kill all the cult members in the regular version?). I wanted Thorn to be something cool, and the Akkads didn't roll with it right away like they should have. And we got a ****ed up reworked for the 23 times version didn't make a damn bit of sense.

ugh, i hate the general idea of "reboots" so much. i hope its a fad that dies quickly and painfully. its so cheap and whimpy that at the slightest bit of dissatisfaction people feel a reboot is the best and only option. i wish it were an option that didnt exist. because its just a super lame scapegoat. rarely is a reboot ever necessary or warranted.

Like I said pages and pages back to TAC, Halloween is completely SCREWED at this point. It's a dead horse. Anyway of continuing this series would be simply and purely for the dollar sign...and not even a good dollar sign as it's just not worth watching anymore. I'm content as another said, with how Zombie ended this. It's done and over with. Unless of course they come up with a freaking awesome idea and direction, it's just going down hill from now on (as some feel it's been down hill for the past two decades).

A Michael-less film? Why bother calling it Halloween? Why tack on the title if Michael is't the one killing? What good would it do to not have him be the killer? I said it before, MICHAEL MYERS IS HALLOWEEN and without him...IT'S NOT HALLOWEEN. Laurie as the killer would be the only way to go if Michael wasn't the killer...but nobody (myself included) would be interested in seeing that movie. What would be her motivation to kill anyways? Let's say Michael still haunts her and she kills for him...what would the motivation for Him to control her mind in that way to kill? Michael just wanted to get to his sister and kill her. He's dead, if anything..Laurie would just kill herself and end it all and complete the 'family' circle. Going off and killing random people with no real center focus would be the most pointless plotted movie to watch.

In this day and age, HALLOWEEN is known as the Michael Myers movie. They tried to do something different in the original 3rd film, and it flopped. Would that idea flop again, YES IT WOULD. Michael was pretty calm and collected in RZH. But in H2, I'd say he was pretty angry and pissed off that he didn't finish the job the year before, and that this year he's getting the crap beat out of him by rednecks in a field, and having to walk so damn much to get to town and he's just very angery and he grunted as if to say 'DAMN, I WANT TO STOP THIS S*** AND GO HOME. Where's my damn sister at? AHHHHHHHH, I'M SO ANGRY..AHHHHH..DIE .....AHHHH...ME MAD. ME TARZEN. In all honestly, from what I seen on the Blu ray preview, I like it a bit more than RZ Halloween films already. Sam is like a mix of Michael, Chucky, and a pinch of Pumpkinhead. Can't wait to see the full deal, I know people who seen it that are raving about it.
