'H2', Rob Zombie's sequel to 'Halloween'

He said he did H2 for the money so that he could eventually Fund The T-Rex movie cause no one will back it. I guess he's just doing movies until he gets enough to do the T-Rex movie.

Well it showed in H2. The best scenes were him just showing his main characters (Laurie, Annie and Brackett) coping with the trauma of the last film. The dreams were nifty, if they didn't make sense. But the actual slashing portion of his, y'know, slasher movie, was half-hearted and half-assed at best. Michael didn't become interesting until the third act when he killed Annie and hostaged Laurie in the shed. Everything he did before that was just filler. And that ultimately is why it is a bad movie looking back.

Writer and Director Confirmed for 'Halloween 3D'

Bloody Disgusting & Dread Central received confirmed word this evening that Patrick Lussier has officially signed the dotted line to direct HALLOWEEN 3D for Dimension Films. He'll be heading to Haddonfield with Todd Farmer, who will be penning the screenplay. The duo previously worked together on MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D for Lionsgate, making them perfect candidates to bring Michael Myers to theaters in 3D. Shooting is scheduled for this fall. What do you guys think of the news?

I think...well there is no way to continue with Michael in Zombie's world. But no one gives a **** about a Laurie/Jamie/Loomis-less world that the old series ended with. Albeit it featured the best line ever..."Trick or Treat...Mother ****er!"

So, I guess they could just pull the vague sequel without any of the major characters (except Michael) a la Incredible Hulk. I don't know..they could do it like Ft13...man they are kind of screwed.

I don't think they should continue from either verse, just do a reboot with Michael as the only character from the other films. That's actually what I wanted for the remake in the first place rather than a straight up retelling of the original.

I'm thrilled about Lussier taking the helm of Halloween 3D. His movies are at worst, tolerable to mediocre but fun at best. Didn't a lot of horror buffs love Dracula 2000? And his White Noise 2 was way better than the first.

I'm stuck on whether Todd Farmer will deliver. Jason X wasn't that great (but it was ambitious budget-wise), but maybe he and Lussier can bring back the true Michael Myers. They can keep or recast Tyler Mane (and hopefully Scout Taylor-Compton), this series needs fresh blood.
