Yea its easier to go with just one guy for now which we should start with hal and if berlanti's script is taken for gl then that is what we are getting. Now in sequels or even in first film like in the script review it wouldnt hurt to see/have other gl/dc characters get thrown into the mix.

I could live with that. Id like to skip Hal's origin because i find him more interesting now then than but whatever

I was really hoping WB would break the mold and not make this just a basic origin story with only one main lantern (with a few possible cameos).

I would love it if was more of an ensemble piece. Make the "main" character Kyle so that he is the new guy in the Corps, and the audience can learn about the Corps with him. And wile he might get the most face time, have plenty of time be devoted to Hal (who could be an overall mentor to Kyle), Kilowog (as a drill sergeant), Guy as a cocky bastard but will never give up on you etc. Perrsonally, I'd have John almost as a side story where while everyone else is on Oa he is tracking down what would turn into the main big villain of the film (which could be the manhunters or something more like an army instead of a singular character)

You could have huge space battles mixed with a much closer "urban" battle depending on where the story focuses. Think Star Wars meets Blackhawk Down.

And it would have all these heroes in it, but refreshingly different than the normal origin story.

Sinestro Corps is your third movie plot.

Honestly, I think the whole Parallax thing should just be avoided. I mean congrats to Johns for working around it, but for so long it was just seen as a blight against the character. Just like we'll never see the clone saga in Spider-man movies.

Also it's got to be Hal Jordan. There's no reason to put Guy, John, and Kyle in a first movie. That's ridiculous. You maybe have one other person, I believe according to IESB, Guy is also in the script but that's it.

Also pretty simple. If Green Lantern movies are a success and people fall in love with Hal Jordan well . . . why would you want to ruin that in a JL movie?

That is why you would have a John Stewart in it. It wouldn't necessarily disturb the GL franchise. Also putting in Guy, John, or Kyle in the first film would be no different from putting James "Rhodey" Rhodes in the first "Iron Man" film. That is not ridiculous and if you have a legitimate reason for saying that, you haven't said it yet.

Hal, no question. After Sinestro fell out of the GL Corps, Hal became the best GL there ever was. John & Kyle have to pay homage to that beast.

Hal Jordan is my favorite Green Lantern BUT from a storytelling perspective I think it's best to start with Kyle Rayner being recruited by Ganthet, the last Guardian and tell the story of the Lanterns and the other Guardians as something legendary. Treat Hal Jordan/Parallax almost like a Voldemort type of character in that he is the fallen Lantern that shalll never be spoken of and slowly build back the Green Lantern Corps. I think it would be pretty cool to have the Corps return by the end of the first movie or at least by the end of the second only to have Jordan return in the third as a threat and be redeemed.

Just my POV though. It can also work by just introducing the GL corps to the audience through the eyes of Hal Jordan, forget the whole Paralax thing, and finish it off with Sinestro in the third instead.

Either way, either character, I'd be happy.

1: Hal, Sinestro, guest appearance from the GLC (hopefully a guest appearance from Alan Scott as well)

2: Hal v. Sinestro, John and Guy activated

3. Hal's fall, John and Guy taken out with most of the GLC, Kyle activated

4: Kyle's story

Okay I'm a huge Green Lantern fan and I have been waiting for a GL movie for years now. With that being said I really can't wait to see if this GL movie will get made.

I have always seen it as a six movie franchise.

1st movie: I know people don't really like it but it needs to be done, Hal's orgin but not Emerald Dawn, we do Hal's orgin from Geoff John's Secret Orgin story arc going on now.
Characters in the movie - Hal Jordan, Carol Ferris, Hector Hammond, Gen. Stone, Jim Jordan, Jack Jordan, Abin Sur, Tom Kalmaku, Sinestro.
Cameos by John Stewart (Marine in a bar), Guy Gardner (according to the script and the comics Guy was orignally to get Abin's ring) Alan Scott (maybe on tv or just name cameo), Kilowog, Tomar Re, the Manhunters, William Hand and Atrocitus.


2nd movie: Hal vs Sinestro.
Characters: Hal, Sinestro, John, Guy, Kilowog, Tomar Re, Ganthet, Hector Hammond, Carol Ferris.

Cameos by: Kyle Rayner (very end of the film), Mongul, More Corps members, maybe some more of Hal's villians, Also cameos by maybe some more of the other Lantern corps, maybe members of JLA, the Manhunters

In this movie Coast City does get destroyed but instead of Hal becoming Parallax maybe he dies with Coast City or is so depressed that he abandons the ring, I know it's out of continuity but I don't think the corp should be killed off (unless the do a Hal becomes Parallax movie). Also in this movie Guy gives up being a Green Lantern as well.

3rd movie: Kyle's film, don't have to spend to long on the orgin just maybe 10-20 mins, Have Kyle keep faith to his comic book (so no training with the Corps).
Characters: Kyle, Major Force, Jenny Hayden

Cameos by Alan Scott, Sonar, Fatality (with Sinestro's ring) Effigy, Mongul, maybe Superman, Flash (Wally), Amon Sur as the leader of the black circle, Terry (Kyle's assistant at his job), John, Guy, more cameos by other members of the other lantern corps.

This is Kyle's movie but towards the end have it turn out that Kyle was searching for Jordan the entire time because of the prophecy that Ganthet told him about.


4th movie: This one should be loosly based off of Rebirth, except it should really be Sinestro's Rebirth. Kyle and John search the globe for Hal and tell him what's going on. Sinestro is behind the scenes tormenting Guy, Towards the end of the film there is another classic fight between Jordan and Sinestro and Guy does get his ring back.
Characters: Hal, John, Guy, Kyle, Alan, Sinestro, Ganthet, Kilowog
Cameos by Amon Sur, Black Hand, Atrocitus, Lara Drak, Kara Sil, Arkilo, Hank Henshaw, The Manhunters.

5th movie: The Sinestro Corps War.
