Speaking of fanfic, hoooolllllyyy ****. Imdb sent me somewhere, and man, people get freaky with this universe. I was legitimately shocked.

Fanfic in general is just kind of creepy. I think literally every piece of entertainment from the last hundren years has been Brokeback'd... Brokeback Hogwarts, Brokeback Island, Brokeback Enterprise..... none of which are half as frightening as Wincest. :csad:

Wincest is an abomination before heavan and earth! The very mention of it makes grown men weep.

You must have missed the part where it is stated Voldemoet despises love. .
No no I got that part...love digusts and confuses him.

He's incabable of any postitive human emotion and the only joy he gets is the suffering of others. Yeah :csad: yeah :csad: Yeah. :csad:

I'm just an idiot who tries to see the good in everybody.

But you're right I need to read the books and all of them this time.

its shown in the fifth book/ movie that he is incapable of understanding love. that's why he can't take full advantage of his mental connection to harry, because all of harry's strengths came from the love between him and all his friends. It's also why Voldemort couldn't touch harry without being burned before he was resurrected with harry's blood, because of the love it took for his mother to sacrifice herself for to protect him.

What is this Wincest you speak of?

Just.... the worst thing ever.

It originated with some of the Supernatural fanbase. Imagine a fanfic Brokeback _______ pairing..... except on Supernatural, both the lead characters are brothers.

Yeah. Pretty freaky stuff.... :csad:

Reminder: please do not post video/images from bootlegged versions of the film.

I can't stop humming those running strings that start at 4:43: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5leTFsYYXzI&feature=related

I really loved how Desplat incorporated this theme throughout other points in the film. Feels like a race against time. Everywhere I go, I'm humming those strings, making my day to day activities seem that much more important. :funny:

I know they didn't do this with the past films, but do any of you think they might make an extended or director's cut of The Deathly Hollows part 2? I really enjoyed it, but it felt rushed at times and from what I've heard it's the shortest Potter film.

^There might be and it does seem like there have been stuff that is cut out. This is the shortest Potter film, certain parts of this movie just keep me from thinking its as perfect as it can be.

I imagine Draco shat his pants when Voldy hugged him lol.

Absolutely, everyone at the theatre was like "WTF, that's a hug?". I love how he tries to be merciful at that part, even letting Neville speak before "joining" him.

In this article Yates talks about what got cut and the scenes that aren't in the books: http://io9.com/5822801/what-was-cut-from-harry-potters-final-movie-and-what-new-scenes-were-added

It has a lot of rushed scenes. Gringotts, for example. The multiplying objects served Harry to get to the horcrux instead of keeping him away.

Ron has always had a crush on Hermione. He would always make fun of her and that is what 11 year old's do to girls that they like. People that only watch the movies want Hermione and Harry to hook up because Harry is the star of the movies and Hermione/Emma is obviously very attractive. There were no indications that Harry liked Hermione more than just being friends. They always felt like a brother and sister to me. Secondly, you could totally tell that Hermione liked Ron at the Yule ball in Goblet of Fire. That was when it was most obvious. That was book 4.

Not me. I was totally rooting for Ron/Hermione.

That's a weird fetish. God, imagine waking up to Voldemort beside you every morning. You'd think you woke up in a nightmare.

I DON'T LOVE HIM!!!Nor am I in love with him.
God you people!

Get it right, if Voldemort woke up to ME every morning he'd think HE was in a nightmare! :hehe:

I think he's a cool charcter and looks cool, but I wouldn't touch him with a 10' bargepole.

Yeah, I really can't imagine that they would've included that little bit about Arianna without delving into Dumbledore's backstory at all. There's got to be plenty of deleted material there alone.

Different perspectives, after finishing reading prisoner of azkaban I always saw something there that could have went that way but JK Rowling never intended it to. Even after book 6 I thought JK would do her classic thing of pulling one over us but it was not to be.

The movie was good but I thought the final battle was a bit of a let down and didn't add up to all the hype they've been building up on all these years. Voldemort is suppose to be so bad that powerful wizards and witches are afraid to even say his name...yet he was defeated without much of a bang. And I know...by the time he faced Harry he was extremely weakened but I still cant help but feel underwhelmed.

Voldemort did lose on a technicality but I'm glad it ended that way because Harry is no Voldemort or Dumbledore in terms of skill level. A one on one duel, Harry would have been obliterated much like Voldemort was in the movie. Glad JK Rowling never went with the Super Harry with God like powers in the end.

I've seen the film three times and just now learned that the person flying into the battle on the broom is Oliver Wood.

Maybe because every theater I see the film in sucks. First time, I was in the second row of the theater and everything was distorted, second time I had better seats, but the projector was dim and flickering, third time, the picture was muddled, dim and blurry, half the sound system was broken and this woman brought her jacka** child with her.
I'm going to have to see it again just so I can actually get a good experience with the film.
