This is the first time I've actually bought my tickets ahead of time. Mostly because someone had given me a Fandango gift card, but also because I didn't want to go down there and find out it was sold out all day lol.

I am shocked at the reviews. 145 fresh...5 rotten...wow. didnt expect a 97%.

dang, earliest i can get in line is 6. I did the same for Dark Knight and there was already line then too. Any of you out there not thinking its gonna be that big a deal should get your butts in line now.

I just wanted to say that for everyone seeing this tonight (myself included), I hope the experience lives up to all expectations, and that you walk away satisfied...and not too teary-eyed :oldrazz: (again, myself included).

It's been a pleasure discussing Potter with you all over the past little while in this (these) thread(s), and it's nice to have been able to unite over something together. There is a bit of a small pocket of posters in particular that frequent the Potter threads, and, again, it's been really great chatting about the series with you. I hope you all enjoy the film whenever you may see it, and, on the bright side, it'll be fun to return here and chat again after it all ends.

Enjoy. :)

I assume once this flick has been out for a while, you may as well turn this thread into the Harry Potter film thread to discuss all of them or any future speculation.

It's hard to believe this is the best reviewed HP movie. I mean did anyone expect 97%? Even better than POA? I somehow doubt that but we'll see.

This will turn into the Harry Potter Memorial Thread where everyone will remember fond memories and then cry and yell at the sky.

That sounds like fun. Count me in.

I walked by the AMC on 42nd St in NY on my way home from work: there was already a line out the door and all 25 midnight shows were sold out. :wow:

Same thing in my area. All midnight showings are sold out and most theaters are taking advantage of this and using every single possible auditorium/house they have in their theater.

This movie is going to make gangbusters.

The people on line cracked me up. It looked like a Hogwarts convention. :oldrazz:

I went to pick up tickets for tomorrow morning around 4 and the line wrapped around the theatre. I have never seen a crowd this big that early before. And most people were dressed up so that was cool. This one guy looked like Draco's twin.

Who bets on someone going to the midnight lines in a car yelling out:

________ DIES!
__________ DIES!
_______DIES!

And so on. lmao

I wonder if anyone in the audiences will yell out nyeahs randomly during Voldermort scenes

As soon as I get to the theater and see the line...I am going to yell NYEEAAAHHHHH

Doesn't bother me. I know who dies. I've read the book. But it does upset me for the people who haven't read the books (but to be honest most people going at midnight have).

When the DH book came out someone drove by the midnight book release party and yelled "Snape Kills Dumbledore!" I yelled back "Two years and a book too late, pal!"

:hehe:

As much as the wait will suck. I'm holding off seeing it until next week.

Gonna be too damn crazy and I think it will be best for my sanity to just wait.

Honestly if you don't know all the plot twists by now, you're under a rock, even if you ain't read the books. It's been public knowledge for nigh on 3 years.

Ugh... I won't be able to see this for a week or two since my parents want to see it with me. The wait is going to kill me. :(

In line right now...this is madness. So many people. Three hours early wasn't enough. I'm not sure what the estimates are, but I can see this movie taking down TDK's opening weekend record.
