Hawaii Five-O

I thought the episode was okay...the two main plots just didn't seem to gel for me. The fisherman story was fine and I thought the Chin/Kono story was interesting.

Although what bothered me about that part was how Kono seemed unable to comprehend why Chin wouldn't tell the truth. Its like c'mon, if she were in the same situation, would Kono honestly say that she'd be able to turn in their uncle?

Plus, what was the relevance of having McGarrett break his arm? In the end it didn't really add much to the episode nor did it seem to hinder his abilities at all. It just came off as some some unnecessary padding to the episode.

Would McGarret still have his task force then?

Perhaps he will but simply be under a much tighter leash with the new governor. Perhaps if they go that route, the next governor will be more of a thorn in 5-0s side.

That's my guess as well. New governor who disapproves of McGarrett's extreme methods. Kind of like Blaine Meyers from 24.

I'm leaning more to the governor biting the bullet. Then she's replaced with a new governor...I have a feeling that if this happens, the new governor will be on Wo Fat's payroll...or like my sis said...maybe the current governor gets killed because she's in cahoots with Wo Fat and failed to accomplish her assignment...

it's fun to speculate.

Also, like someone already pointed out Kono in old skool-H5O was replaced with Ben, who stayed for a while, then Duke came, then towards the final episodes, there was another guy. I don't think they'll do all that with Nu-H5O, but it wouldn't shock me. I like our little group though...so I hope everyone makes it to a second season.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sure if Kono was killed off in the original series, but might've just left without explanation. Chin Ho was definitely murdered at the end of the 10th season, and Danno also left eventually. By the 12th season, only McGarrett was left of the original team. But in the original, Governor Jameson didn't die, but then, like Kono, wasn't a woman either.

No, Kono didn't die to my knowledge either. The character just left. I didn't know Chin Ho died though...I trust the TPTB with H5O. I'll see what they do...as long as it makes sense and makes for good storytelling...I'll follow.

I wish that the theme music for the 2nd season would be 60 seconds instead of 30, incorporating the 2nd half of the piece. Or if not that, then how about having the 2nd half of it during the end credits, and having some hawaiian rowers battling the surf as in the original (which played the 2nd half then)?

Probably August/September-ish.

Maybe once the season is over they will show on xbox live....or maybe the season is over. dunno.

What was the song used at the end of this weeks episode?

New Episode this week! Oh and Hunter when did you join the 100k club? Congrats! I think its just you and Corpy.

With them introducing these new characters & the dude from last night said he would even come back & join Five-0 but after he catches the guy he was after. Sawyer better be preparing himself these next three episodes for the possible death of Kono

She's not going anywhere. :o

Last nights epi was rather cool IMHO...

Keith Davids was underused IMHO...and the threat Reggie gave him... Spin off? :woot:

Pretty good ep. I love Keith David wish he wouldve had more scenes. Diddy is a good actor too. He actually was good in A Raisin in the Sun, he did pretty good this week

They won't kill off any of the big four. If anyone dies, I think it'll be the governor.

The only way they'll take Kono out of the show is if Grace Park wants to leave.

I thought Diddy did a decent job in this weeks episode.

Same here.... would like to see his character return in the future..

Also, the song they were using.... i did a google search on it's actually one of his songs lol.

I know in the articles saying that there will be a death in the finale they mention that the actress playing Kono may be tired of living in Hawaii & wants a change

Sawyer will lose it, but if she wants to take her ass back to Canada because she misses the annual Moose Humping Festival then **** off, plenty of hot chicks to replace her

This board will never hear the end of it, believe you me. :o
