Not a great episode, not bad of course but it felt almost like a filer episode.

So basically you're justifying evil acts because they served a purpose at some point after the facts not to mention covering their own asses, particularly in Jamei's case on a few occasions. Riiiiiiiiiight. By that logic, assuming Cersi was undusputedly raped, that too could be justified after all, Cersi is out and out evil, committing the sickening act of an insestial relationship anyway. Seems that it can be argued all her sins are catching up to her not to mention, her incestual infidelity may be discovered and could end up being the start of the kingdoms being legitimately put right. See how that too can potentially serve a purpose. So wtf is the problem then? Pffft unbelievable.

Where's your outrage over the violence in Lord of the Rings? Is it okay to depict violence as long as its against ugly orcs and goblins? Your avatar is of James Bond who has been a cold-blooded killer.

Ok i finally got to watch it.
I liked it. It wasn't as good as the first two. But it was good

Both the opening with Sansa and Daenerys' scenes in Meereen felt like a movie. It's amazing how much the budget is increased

-Tywin's scene with Tommen was fantastic. One of Charles Dance's best scenes ever.

- The "rape" scene was ok. I mean, i won't discuss it. I had no problem with it being changed from the books.

- Oberyn and Tywin scene was great as well. Pedro Pascal is making The Red Viper into a greater character than he is in the books.

-Tyrion's scene was heartbreaking. Loved Pod's loyalty towards him, and Tyrion still trying to protect him

-Margery and Olenna's scene was well placed. Showing that the Tyrells are not over when it comes to climbing.

- The scenes of the Wildlings and Night's Watch was good, cementing future events

- Davos continues to be the most moral man in history. And for some reason i had the feeling that finally Stannis is starting to behave like bookStannis.

- The only.... "minor" objection was Sam's scenes. I mean they were nice and cute. But they felt like they could be nice scenes when watching the whole season in DVD/Blu-Ray. In contrast, watching it knowing that in less than 20 minutes the episode is going to end, Sam's scenes are not watched, are suffered lol.

Nice one lime, thanks for these.

All great dual exchanges.

What does he do now that's more like the books? (I'm only on book 1).

Exactly. They are taking up valuable minutes. I'd rather they got the point across in one quicker scene, mentioned the extra relevant bits rather than showing them and moved onto cooler and more important things. This stuff would be great for extras or extended cuts on blu-ray or something like that.

An unarmed Tywin could challenge The Mountain to a swordfight, and within three minutes Clegane would be talked into falling on his own blade.

lime, you know there are spoils tags you can wrap your pictures in right? So you don't have to worry about people complaining.

Do I need to be afraid of this thread to spoil me because of book talk? I am up to date on the show but I'm just starting the first novel A Game of Thrones.

Well, everything under Spoiler Tag pretty much is about future book talk (and therefore, future show events). If there is some talk about previous books is really minor (for example, Talisa Maegyr was another character in the books than in the show)

For me, after watching the third season, the real meat of the books was the backstory and the impressive detail Martin uses when it comes to medieval life (such as food, clothes, sieges, battles, fortifications, etc)

Everyone here is pretty good and considerate of non-book readers. It's really great to see how the readers tag everything, which I really appreciate. So, no need to be afraid of book talk (if it hasn't happened on the show, atleast. If it's aired, then I think talking of the book is fair game).

I think Stannis has been pretty good so far this season. I didn't like how he doubled down on Melisandre's religion...but that's clearly something important to convey about Stannis and what he needs to do. But, seeing him put his foot down about his daughter was great. And his scene with Davos, as well. It was good to see Davos call him out on his stance on sellswords, too.

FINALLY finished Season 2! MAN that was kick arse!!!
Working on season 3 now hopefully

Hey, I thought the exact same thing when he said that to her. He'd probably be more interested if she was. That's just how Jamie rolls.

You know, I'm starting to get annoyed with how blown out the Jamie/Cersei scene has seemed to get. It's amazing to me, actually. I mean, aside from the discussion of what actually went down and such...I'm amazed at how people are saying 'GOT went too far', or that this is the most disturbing thing they've covered on the show.

I mean, we've seen some very ****ed up **** go down. Craster, and his hundreds of wives/daughters/granddaughters is probably one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen, anywhere. There was the castration of a character, a boy had his parents murdered and was then told by one of the killers that his parents would be eaten.

I'm just wondering what ****ing show have some of these people been watching where they think disturbing **** doesn't happen?

I hate when people b**** about looks, but I think they could've thrown a bit of blonde into Jamie's hair this season. It's been okay for the last two, given that he's been out in the mud and his own filth and he hasn't bathed, but here it's like... bro, have you been bleaching your hair this whole time?

They got lax on that with Tyrion, too. Just look at his hair in the first episode of the series compared to now.

Esp since they gave him such a modern hair cut, but maybe it is to showcase him growing away from being a true Lannister.

I don't mind the haircut itself.

I don't mind it either but when I first saw I thought he did some time traveling inbetween seasons.

The show has been more liberal in maintaining physical appearances. With the Stark kids, all of them are supposed to resemble Cat with auburn hair except Arya. This is one of the reasons why there's friction between her and Jon, he looks more like a Stark than the sons she gave Ned.

I recall reading Dinklage was against wearing a wig, it seems they stopped dying his hair. I just chalk up Jaime's hair being darker from spending 2 seasons covered in mud and ****.

Yeah, I'm loving Stannis so far this season. His latest scene with Davos was good too- he's such a stern SOB :funny: And he kinda did have a point and it's nice to see things moving along.

It was good to see Davos call him out on his stance on sellswords, too.

That was such a sick burn line. It's like Davos read our minds. I loved the expressions on Davos and especially Stannis.

Also, yeah, Davos' scene with Shireen was brilliant. So much great dialogue in this episode and a lot of small nice details in the scenes too.

Jaime is suppose to look different at this point.
