That was a kickass ending. Don't **** with Jon Snow. Don't **** with Ghost. Don't **** with Bran. And especially, DON'T. ****. WITH. HODOR.

This needs to be a sig.

When she went up to Margaery I was expecting some kind of epic verbal beat-down about how she needs to stay the **** away from her son, but we got the opposite. Felt weird. Although, when discussing it with a friend he pointed out that Cersei knows they need to keep the Tyrell alliance because they still consider Stannis and the Riverlords a threat. She wants Margaery to think she trusts her when she doesn't.

Also, was it revealed this episode that
Lysa killed Jon?

I expected more aggression from Cersei. There was a scene or two back in season three where she wanted Tywin to consider her a serious player in the game. It was where Twyin told her she wasn't as clever as she thought. Perhaps this is what D&D were thinking of. Following up on that line of development. But yeah, I was waiting for her to start sending people to Qyburn.

How would you gauge Jon's mission? I believe they lost...five men? Seems like this could be made a more relevant plot point
when it comes to choosing the next lord commander.

@Hyde:
I believe so. Petyr and Lysa were behind the whole rigamarole in season one leading up to the War of Five Kings, more or less.

When she spoke to Oberyn I was really expecting her to seduce him, not play the wounded mother card. Really when you look at it, tv Cersei is considerably different from the character in the books, which is bizarre considering that her being spiteful, stupid and crazy is what makes her such a threat in the books.

I enjoyed the stuff there, but more or less, the entire plot at Craster's seemed like filler to me.

A shame no one
gives a **** about the Wall enough to appreciate it.

Burn Gorman was wasted a henchman in The Dark Knight Rises. Seeming him be such an evil SOB in Game Of Thrones makes me wish he played a more high profile Bat villain in a Batman film.
Watching Lyssa and Littlefinger, I never imagined a man and woman macking on each other could look so icky.
Lyssa is a freak and completely crazy.
Sansa can't catch a break.
All the Starks have terrible luck and are hopelessly naive.

Was not expecting to find out the Lannisters are broke. Littlefinger may be the most cunning guy in Westros. I think he could even outwit Tywin and Varys.

I wonder why daenerys didn't count her dragons in her arsenal for taking westeros

Last night was huge. That is an enormous reveal. I mean, my jaw dropped to see that Littlefinger was responsible. ****ing incredible. It makes think about Littlefinger's quote about how Chaos isn't a pit, but a ladder.

Also, with as much moaning and screaming Lysa was doing in the middle of the night...they might need to change his name to Giantfinger...

Littlefinger runs brothels so I imagine his got some moves :cwink::oldrazz:

Not my favorite episode of the season (so far) but I didn't think it was terrible or anything. It did feel like a 'filler' episode for the most part, getting some exposition squared away and the like.

I think the end at Crastor's Keep was my favorite if only for hating Bran and Jon being SO CLOSE to a reunion (I knew it wasn't going to happen... still... Stark's can't catch a flippin' break!!! :wall:). Loved Ghost taking out Rast though (I imagine the pen was open due to Bran & co. freeing Summer?) and being reunited with Jon. I mean, let's see... the last time Ghost was at Castle Black was back in first season, wasn't it (when they were still using dogs for the direwolves)? So certain characters that aren't too fond of Jon/that didn't go North with the Lord Commander might want to be more cautious what with the size that Ghost has become and now that he's back with his person :oldrazz:

Lol I imagine Ser Alliser's and Slynt's face when they find out that not only did Jon's "suicidal" mission turned out well, but also that his Pokemon has evolved into a Super Throat Eating Giant DireWolf and is now protecting him.

I agree Cersei being so pleasant was a little jarring, however, it makes sense because she needs the king to have a strong woman behind him. The fact that he is prepubescent only compounds this.

To me, it just looked like Cersei is planning something. That, or she's trying to set the table for possibly influencing Tyrion's trial. Or maybe not, I'm just hesitant to take her at face value when she's being accepting of what is happening. Though, there's no real point in going head to head with Margery, because she already knows Tywin will have Tommen marry her for the exact same reason she was going to marry Joffrey.

I thought her scene with Oberyn, especially the part where she says "little girls get hurt everywhere in the world" was pretty poignant.

Cersei's actions last night just seemed to me as her playing the "sympathy" card to influence the jury against Tyrion.

What do you guys think about the Lannister's gold mine change? I thought it was a ridicilously stupid change, that makes Tywin Lannister into a bit of an fool.

What was the change? I thought they were broke and way in debt in the books too.

well i thought it was cool. they shoulda built up the crasters keep *****e but still

What, him drinking from Jorah ****ing Mormont's skull was not enough for you? :o

Also,

Was still hoping we would get some Coldhands action this episode, with him taking care of Rast. Really didn't mind that Ghost did the deed, but, oh well...

Agreed. Though I will also say, she seems to be legitimately depressed. And she probably is. She just saw her first born son die in her arms. That's going to leave an impression on you.

That's precisely the way I saw it as well. Like Roose pointed out, she's seemingly acting on Tywin's verbal *****-slapping on her from the previous season. She's actually plotting her moves with cunning, instead of spite and crazyness.

This too.

Also, loved Jon Snow putting a sword through Burn Gorman's head, as well as HodorUnleashed. :awesome:

I found the gold mine-bank scene with Tywin and Cersei to be very interesting. It's a scene that's essentially about the details of ruling or governing. I don't think it makes Tywin look bad. Just points out the fact that war is expensive. That, and Robert's reign had already put the realm in debt. I still think of the scene in season one, where Ned is shocked to learn that Robert let the realm go in debt.

Personally, I really enjoy a scene like that, where we get a view at how money doesn't just grow on trees, and that governing, even in this world, isn't just about the major decisions but the details that ultimately could just wind up being numbers on a spreadsheet. It just looks like they're tapping into the governing aspect of being in power. Like with Dany, another scene I quite enjoyed. It almost felt like an RPG decision moment there. Choosing to either cross the sea and take her chances or retake the cities she had freed on her rise up.

This part made me tear up a little bit, as bad as Cersei is, I love what the line suggests, implying that she may have been hurt as a little girl too (something that may have forever changed her views, seeing the world for how truly cruel it is). That was my favourite scene from last night, a simple moment that makes you appreciate the two characters a bit more. I loved last night's episode, the only thing that disappointed me about it was that there were no Theon/Ramsay/Roose Bolton scenes, the scene the three of them shared in the first episode was fantastic, but I'm happy that Littlefinger was there and that it was finally revealed that he was the puppet-master from the very beginning. All-in-all, this was a great, game-changing episode in a near-perfect season, thus far.

I liked the episode, was good seeing them set up everything for the next few episodes. Cersei trying to act less like a ***** and get every judge on her side so she can have Tyrion's head was a change but I can see what she was doing. Littlefinger of course is playing a game few others realize he is a part of. Arya learning a lesson about what really wins fights. Pod and Brienne on the open road. Bran having Hodor hulk out was cool. Jon got Ghost back and killed the traitors. All in all it was a solid episode for me
