After seeing The Machine, I would pay $50 for a pic with Caity Lotz.

For any UK guys out there, I didn't know Lily Allen was Alfie Allen's sister! And apparently she was approached to play Yara to be his sister onscreen and only turned it down because of the feeling up on the horse scene. Haha.

And their father is Keith Allen from films Trainspoting, Shallow Grave, The Others and the BBC's Robin Hood series.

The bolded is really why so many were ticked at it. And I think the main reason is because after the third book it really seemed like we had moved towards the end game of the overarching through line of the entire series. And then you get to book four and it just stalls out. It doesn't help that he also introduces a LOT of new characters, some of which seem (at this point) unneeded.

I found a link online that tells you the order to read the book four and five chapters together as one giant book, and I've been recommending that to all my friends who get to the fourth book. I think that would have made it much more enjoyable to me.

When I read ADWD I read the chapters in my own order. I pretty much read all the North Westeros chapters in one go. Then went back and read all the South Westeros chapters. Then read all of Dany's chapters. It was very unorthodox but worked for me. I was able to read the book a lot faster for some reason. I suspect it had to do with me finding my own rhythm. The way GRRM puts a cliffhanger at the end of a chapter and leaves that character for 100+ pages really kills my focus. I'm too busy wanting to know what happened to that character to focus on the next character.
So I said **** it and would skip ahead to see what happened to that character. Like I read all of Davos's chapters straight away. I couldn't wait to see what he got up to and Martin's chapter order just wasn't getting to it fast enough for me.:funny:

I agree. I remember reading some Northern chapter and then, immediatly a Dany chapter pops up and i was like "NOOOOOOOO don't leave me hanging like that GRRM!!!"

Still, i completely loved ADWD, i believe i catched every subtle hint in it ("southron ambitions", "northern conspiracy" and all that) and i personally like it more than ACOK.

So I see (via season 3 Blu Ray) that they changed it so that Robert, Stannis and Renly got their claim to the Iron Throne from their mother being a Targ instead of their grandmother.

I am enchanted and terrified.

Isn't it ironic that the man who crippled Jaime Lannister (Locke) was killed by the boy (Bran through Hodor) who got crippled by Jaime Lannister?

Funny, if you think about it.

That's a good idea, I might try that.

Haha, good spot.

Karma makes its way around in unusual ways.

That's very ironic lol.

Rock scissors paper? Bran gets crippled by falling from a rock, Jaime gets his hand cut off and Locke gets killed by brans will. (paper in a "pen is mightier than the sword" sense.)

Anyone else like how cool Arya was when she killed that guy after the Hound asked him his name. :awesome:

Ok, that's a pretty cool way of describing it.

Loved it. That was quick and Rorge was just too slow. Awesome. :awesome:

They're scouting southern Spain specifically, so it's definitely Dorne. Maybe Volantis, too?

Lena (Cersei) posted this picture on her Instagram:

It was captioned "My heart of stone."

Possible book spoilers in the comments at the link.

That's confirmation enough for me!:awesome:

Volantis? You're a long way from home!

We might see Talisa's family next season.
