Comedy HBO's Vice Principals

Walton Goggins is doing god's work on this show. He's just a madman and the show is ripe for that kind of chaotic comedy of a crazy, entitled white man-baby-jerk, Goggins' is that ten fold. His expressions are hilarious and I love how much he hates his mother in law.

Severe lack of Goggins this episode.

Still a lot of fun!

It was good...but the show needs to be careful with limiting Goggins. He and McBride's chemistry is what makes the show more than just an Eastbound and Down ripoff. Last night could've very easily been a Kenny Powers story.

Pretty weak episode last night. Get what they're going for with trying to actually develop McBride's character, but it just felt really off. There were some funny moments here and there but it was kinda just creepy and wasn't resolved well. It's a shame because I feel like the entire premise of the show is bursting with potential for comedy, but this field trip episode was a bit toothless.

Next week looks promising though!

i loved it... the opening with Goggins saying how she smelled had me rolling

Much better episode this week. The LSD sequence was fantastic, I love how sinister Goggins' character is.

Turning her into a martyr will just keep the principal around longer. And I loved how her two kids were just such snide smartasses that they didn't give a damn, but still sympathize with their mother when she's hurting.

I personally didn't think last week was bad, but one cannot deny that this show is infinitely better when Goggins is in the mix and he and McBride are playing off of one another.

Best episode of the season thus far. Not surprising it's the one that manages to balance Russell, Gamby and Dr.Brown the best. No doubt Dr.Brown's kids helped keep the laughs coming without Russell/Gamby in the scene.

But man, were Goggins/McBride's insults and delivery on point this episode. Just pure venom and tone-deafness from both.

I like how well rounded the characters are. In comedies characters are usually pretty basic, but here we get to see multiple sides of the main cast.

The principal's sons were a nice touch too, good couple of young actors there. Delivered both on the laughs and the drama.

Belinda's kids are hilarious I could have sworn I saw the young kid in something else before but IMDB has this as his only credit

the acid trip had me rolling

"We didn't do nothing momma. Stop being an a**hole"

Dead.

I LOVE this show! Last night I watched all four episodes that have aired so far and nearly died.

I love how they realized they were trolls under the bridge at the end of the episode :funny:

I kinda hope we get a Goggins specific episode like McBrides field trip one, but I doubt it.

McBride and Jody Hill are a great writing team. This is one ... tense... comedy, and along with Eastbound have been pretty damn clever.

Goggins said we'd get some insight into why Russell is the way he is, so we might get a Russell-centric episode down the line this season.
