As well as spreading rumors that it was definitely a drug-related death despite the fact that no one knows and the police are leaning towards "natural causes." He's just a Burton/Nicholson fan that's pissed off because people like what they've seen of Ledger and Nolan's work more than the other two and so he bashed anyone for mourning Ledger as well as appreciating his work more than Nicholson's. Jealousy is the best way to describe it.
Hey, I'm a Burton fan. Don't lump him in my crowd. Sometimes an ******* is just that.

I'm not lumping him in with you at all. He represents himself. He has admitted he's a Burton/Nicholson fan so that is just a description of him, not of the rest of the Burton fans. I'm a Burton/Nicholson fan myself too. But he takes it too far. He's jealous of the fanboy reaction to Ledger's version of the Joker and Nolan's version of the Batman story overall. I'm a fan of both so I appreciate both. But he takes the fan thing a little too far when all he does on a thread about Ledger's death is spread rumors and bash people for mourning the death.

It's a Batman thread. Heath Ledger is in the next Batman movie. He died at the age of 28. A lot of people are affected by this, and want to express it.
Are you so narrow-minded that you can't conceive that people can be sad about this, and sad about other things? How presumptive of you to charge that people are just grieving about this, and don't care about anything else. Where are the threads about Iraq, Darfur etc that you made? You have offered nothing constructive since Heath;s death except to harangue people who are affected, and chastise them for not caring about other tragedies, without any proof that they do or don't. Truly, you sicken me.

Dark is ridiculous. I'm a bigger fan of Burton but I appreciate Nolan's films just as much. You're absolutely right, he is jealous of the fan praising of Batman Begins and TDK when there's really no need to be. People like him and Google have nothing good to say and really make the rest of the Burton/Nicholson fans look bad.

I agree with you to be honest.

Yeah, totally, anyway, who's to say that Nolan won't hold some of Heaths footage back for the Joker in the third film. A little re-write here and there and it could be possible..

Who's to say Joker will even be in the third film?

Sometimes the truth hurts this isnt about Batman this was a responce by someone who said there where people dying in Katrina and no one really cared but DDL crying is the highlight of your year and i agreed with him just ask yourself truthfully if the deaths in iraq and katrina effected you by 1/100 as the death of Heath Ledger a sad death but magnified by 99% by the fact he is joker.

ANSWER THIS QUESTION YES OR NO! no long winded debates on how ledger is a film actor, how you have always been a fan ect.

There's nothing wrong with liking both, yet people like that tend to make very immature statements and bring the quality of the debate down quite a bit.

Here's the answer: YES. The Katrina tragedy was one of the worst things I've seen. I've been to New Orleans since then and much of the city is still a mess. It's very sad. One of the saddest days in this nation's history to be quite honest. The Iraq war is slightly different. Some of the soldiers signed up for it. They died doing what they wanted to do: protect the country they loved. I have a lot of sympathy for soldiers' wives and children. That is where the real tragedy is. As for the soldiers themselves, I feel more sorry for National Guard troops that get forced to go over there for multiple tours when they didn't sign up for it and then they end up getting killed. It's truly heartbreaking. The Katrina and Iraq War tragedies are a big deal to me, just as big as Heath Ledger's death.

Who are you talking to?
No. Katrina affected me, miserable to see the suffering of those people and the inability, or lack of desire, of the government to help. Iraq? Tragic for the soldiers and the people, tragic.
Who do you think you are, to come here and berate people who are affected by this, to make them feel guilty for feeling a sense of loss? So what if people are more affected because Heath played Joker. There was a connection there, because of a shared interest. Its natural for something like that to affect people. To ask them to care equally deeply about all the suffering in thw world is idiotic, holier-than-thou posturing of the worst kind. What's your highlight of the year; volunteering at the local shelter, helping starving people in Africa, or just b*tching about other posters on these boards? Oh, sorry, did I presume too much, and don't really know you? Well, guess what, bub, that kicks both ways.

Get this straight Ledgers death is sad it sad when any body dies especially a young man in his prime and destined for big things. i still think 99% are mourning the death of the pernification of your favourite character but its your emotions i cant influence them it just gets me that some of you will be more effected by this then your fellow americans dying in a flood of debris. you can be effected by more then one thing but i think its Ledgers death that will get you scouring the internet for details about his life, career and the way he died not one of the biggest disasters in your countrys history.

So you say but did it reach you in a way as to tattoo yourself create memorandums, cry, and all the rest heaths death did for you? i dont think so its your emotions i cant influence them but doesnt that say something about us and our celebrity influeced culture?

Well then you think and presume too much if that's how you feel. Where's your evidence? Nothing I can do about your emotions either, is there?
Irish and proud!

Why do you care how people react to his death?

Damiean Dark.
What age are you really? No offence but the impression I am getting is that you either are not willing to,or cannot, comprehend the fact that the majority of people in this thread do not have the same viewpoint as you and yet you persist in trying to change their viewpoints.
Why? What point does it serve? You have said your piece. No point in trying to "prove" that your position is correct by quantifying the number of deaths on an issue. Death is always tragic. For those of us who followed this film, there was a distinct connection. Logical? Probably not, but very emotional.
So whats the point of you continuing? What does it serve?

By DD's logic I should cry just as much for the Katrina Victims as I would if my mother died, becuase if she wasn't my mother I wouldn't be crying as much.

Exactly. I'm just trying to figure out why he cares so much and just won't leave people alone.

Bad analogy, but yes, his logic is flawed. He comes in here with rumors that Heath was a drug addict and trying to do a character assassination on the guy, and then presumes to tell everyone else that we didn't get upset over Katrina or the Iraq War, or any other tragedies in the world? He comes in here saying that Heath wasn't a saint and blah blah blah, well some of the people in New Orleans weren't exactly saints either. Some of them went so far as to loot electronics stores, some of them went to Houston and caused the crime rate to skyrocket. I know because I'm from there and there was a distinct effect on the crime rate in the city after Katrina victims came there. Some of them were thugs, yet I'm supposed to mourn them and criticize Heath Ledger like DD does because he thinks Ledger was a druggie? Yeah, hypocritical is an understatement.

So you say but did it reach you in a way as to tattoo yourself create memorandums, cry, and all the rest heaths death did for you? i dont think so its your emotions i cant influence them but doesnt that say something about us and our celebrity influeced culture?
Have I attooed myself, cried, created a memorandum? No, so why do you presume I did? I'm not as affected byt this death as others, but was still shocked, and sad at the loss of a young life. So don't presume to tell me my emotions, or hold me up as an example of what celebrity obsessed culture is doing to us.

I still beleive heath was a drug user up to a year ago and that because hard drugs cause long term damage this weakened his heart so the prescription pills (and maybe the phnemonia could kill him i never said heath was a saint or not he imo seemed a nice fun loving guy who loved his craft.

And thats a a low blow to the Katrina victims RedFire to broadly brush them all is sad i guess to you they all are potential thugs?
