Since the original official thread sunk into hell or never existed, I figured I'd start a new one.
I'll start by posting a new trailer on Gametrailers.com
http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=1679
The new one is titled "Cinematic Production Trailer"
This thread really convinced me on how amazing this game will be.
They have Weta working with them. FRICKIN' WETA! and Andy "Gollum" Serkis is playing a character in the game, so hell yeah!

Lol. There have been about ten official threads for this game. I just want something a little more concrete on it.

i don't care if the graphics aren't the best thing out there, this game is going to make everyone who plays it's head catch on fire, more or less creating an army of ghost riders.

^

The graphics might not set the world alight, but they're still pretty good.

So they did sink into Hype hell.
About the graphics, they're stunning. The face movements are unlike anything I've ever seen in a game.

I don't get people who say the graphics aren't 'that good' it like the best PS3 game yet or among the very best we've seen yet.

I want a friggin game demo to come out for crying out loud. Have any reviewers played it yet?

Guys,

Had a chat with Tameem, and we've managed to get approval from Sony to release a screenshot to say a big 'Thank You' for your participation on the forums. So, without further a-do, here's an in-game screen grab of Nariko from one of our cutscenes (resized a little and with some blurring around the edges so it's perfect as a desktop wallpaper).

I’m assuming most of you have seen the “Cinematic Production” teaser. The facial model and texturing you see is based on the actress and the expression is comprised of a series of blend-shapes driven by the mocap data. Each expression is tweaked by us so that we remain true to the original performance.

Lighting and depth of field is then applied to the scene and the results, I hope you’ll agree, look pretty nice. This particular example doesn’t have the floor in place and we’ve made it into a 1280x1024 size image so that it can be used as a desktop wallpaper.

So here you are, Nariko proving that even heroines can have bad days...

Hey Zenien

Thats not actually in-game is it? Cause they are saying in-game screen grab, so does that mean the cut scenes are doing what Resistance is doing by using the in-game engine to render cut scenes.

Actually Resistance doesn't do their cutscenes in Real Time according to one of the dudes who works at Insomniac.

But yeah it's a shot of her during a cutscene. The only thing altered was the background being blured and a touch up on the lighting on her eyes (they're still working on the eyes lighting in the game). Then of course jpeging it for a wallpaper.

Can someone host the image. I can't view it. I get a forbidden page.

Those screenshots such, it's hard to judge how the game looks when all the detail is obscured becasue the screens are so tiny, it actually is sort of hit or miss with each screen but they aren't a fair representation either.

Looks good though.

EDIT: There's no way these are up to date or eveen as recent as the stuff we saw in Heroes or the Mo Cap footage.

If those are the in-game graphics then sign me up. What has the HS developer done prior to this anyways?

Prior to this they were Just Add Monster who made Kung Fu Choas for the Xbox.

All of those pictures were tagged Feburary 27th. Ugh Sony give us some more up to date stuff, artists, go back to the over lit style that environment had before!

The face looks so good, they didn't concentrate on the hair! :o :oldrazz:

It's pretty good considering it's long hair that's made using polygons instead of layered textures. :p
