The Disappearance of Alice Creed writer/director J Blakeson is in negotations to direct Warner Bros.' Hell and Gone.

The script, by Jonah Nolan (The Dark Knight), "is a Titanic-like historical tragedy and love story revolving around the Great Chicago Fire.

Donald De Line and Ed McDonnel will produce.

I don't like the sound of 'Titanic-like love story'. You could get so much more mileage out of an ensemble of interesting characters and differing points of view than you could out of a lame ass chick flick.
 
I remember Jonah talking about this a while back.
 
Alice Creed was a interesting little flick.
 
I don't like this idea at all. Perhaps Nolan can do something good with it, but the Chicago Fire with a romantic story? Blech.
 
Not at all. If done properly it an be great. Personally, I prefer smaller romances in a bigger plot like Raiders and SW or even LOTR. I just don't like it to go overboard because to me it's unbearable.
