Hell just froze over: Devil May Cry goes to PS3, PC and 360

I am so happy at this news. Capcom saved me alot of money. Wow.

I went to GameStop today to trade in my PS3, and the guys were talking about the system's exclusives... they didn't know about DMC 4 yet.

"Devil May Cry 4 was announced last night for PC and 360 also."

GS Employees: "No way! YES!"

True story. They were shocked, yet happy for the news.
Lmao.

I do enjoy your never ending 'local store' stories.

Crush PS3 like the dog that it is. They will make Sony pay for them taking Sega outta the hardware business and I will love every second.

Personally I'm not assed about DMC,- it's lame compared to Ninja Gaiden but its great to think of the PS3 fanboys now, hahahha. At this rate PS3 is going to have no exclusives left soon.
Are you a real person?

I find it hard to believe anyone in their right mind could be into a console so much they could develop such a hatred against Sony. What kind of uneducated neanderthal are you?

Someone give the boy a mallet and something to chase.

Haha, that was pretty damn funny.

I didn't say anything, but personally I was laughing at him wanting Sony to be absolutely crushed because they put Sega under.

You may as well blame everyone who bought a PS1 and not a Saturn, or a PS2 and not a Dreamcast, and any other console out at the time any Sega console was out like SNES. It's a free market, and ppl can buy whatever they want, it's not like we have to buy stuff from Sega to keep their buisness a float. If anything the ppl that handle their financial end of buisness should be blamed for putting out more than they could pay for or whatever else bad financial decisions led to them going under and resurfacing as a software company.

Wow...I gotta admit, I'm not even a big fan of the franchise, but those do look impressive, especially the ice levels...

Well PS3 is better anyway, so not bothered if other formats get a shadow of the real version :) lol

I played and beat the original DMC and was pretty underwhelmed by the end of it. But the newer DMC4 stuff looks pretty good I will admit.

I loved the first one, the 2nd one was alright and I need to go and play through the 3rd

So if all of Sony's exclusive MGS4 and FF13 go multiplatform...does that mean we all have to buy a 360 instead of a ps3? If this reasoning were true,we'd all be driving a Hyundai.

If the only games you want to play this generation are MGS4 and FF13, and (supposing they're the same experiences) they're on the Xbox360, it makes sense to get the Xbox360 and save yourself $200.

Yes, because almost every 360 version of any game that was developed on both consoles *at the same time* looks generally better than it's PS3 counterpart. Yep, shadow of the "real version" alright. :whatever:

Capcom seems to favor the 360 this generation, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're more focused on the 360 considering that it is their cash cow at this point.

Obviously, you know nothing of consoles. Even if they did get both of those games, the PS3 has "potential". You can't just ignore that. I DEMAND LESS QUALITY AND MORE POTENTIAL FROM MY 360!

:cmad:

This reminds me a good bit of when Sony took over the market from Nintendo in the '90s. Albeit I preferred the N64 over the PSX (and I did love my Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, first Resident Evil and Final Fantasy though).

I'm happey with the 360 and the Wii. I kind of like the idea of a cheap Blu-Ray player but with this Assassin's Creed, RE5, GTAIV and soon MGS4 ALL on 360, I have no reason to get a system with a higher price and a worse controller for graphics alone. If anyone owns a Wii and plays more than Wii Sports, they obviously just don't play games for graphics.

I disagree. STRONGLY (on the bold bit), the controler is the only thing that kept me from buying a 360. I could never play Pro Evo on that piece of crap.

I wouldn't bank Metal Gear Solid 4 being on the 360. It might happen and high ups in Konami want it to go multiplatform but Kojima downright refuses to do so.

Also do you think that Sony is just going to let Konami port this game? They're probably ponying up the cash to keep it.

Still in denial, I see.

I think it is pretty clear MGS4 will go to 360 a year or so after PS3. Kind of like Gamecube had the RE4 exclusive for about 8 months before the PS2 version dropped.

And this does have to kind of look like the N64 vs. PS1 debacle. Final Fantasy and Capcom jumped ship. Street Fighter became a PS1 exclusive, as did Megaman and most painfully Final Fantasy. Of new titles I think only smaller ones like Resident Evil 2 and Spider-Man made its way to N64.

But hey Nintendo survived, so I'm not trumpeting the end of Sony. They have a lot more money than Nintendo had, albeit Nintendo has more 1st party IPs than anyone.

Also, I think the PS2 was the best system of last generation, I have always hated the dual shock controller. The focus on the D-pad is sloppy and the after thought UPDATE of adding joysticks was too-little-too-late. It is ackward and uncomfortable using them. While having two was a great idea, it is annoying in games that require the utmost control and movement a la shooters, racers, Tony Hawk, whatever.

They keeping the design for PS3 just shows laziness. The Xbox 1 controller was bulky, big and ugly. But the 360 controller is sleek, comfortable and balances the needs of dual sticks and size well. The triggers feel great and it is a seamless controller. The only one I like better possibly is the Wii-Mote and even that I'm not sure about yet.

Sony did not have any exclusive deals with Capcom with SF or Megaman. The reason why most of those games did not appear on the N64 was bc that hardware was not built for 2d gaming. There were hardly any games on the system which used sprites and bc of that Capcom couldnt bring their 2D titles over to it. As you can see they did bring Megaman and their 2D fighters over to the Saturn while it lasted and they did bring Megaman Legends to the N64 but htat was bc it was a 3D based game
