Showtime knows everything that is going on with production of the new film and he says Welling is not a possibility.

Not to hurt anyones feelings or anything but Showtime certainly does not know everything that is going on with this production.

He's a poster on a subsection of a small part of the world. What he knows is what some low level peon with no trust from the actual people in power knows.

It's actually comically funny that you think he knows that much.

The film doesn't even have a completed script, how can anyone who *isn't* Christopher Nolan or maybe someone high up in at WB know what is or isn't possible?

If Nolan has said it, there is a good chance with Showtime's sources that he has heard something. He's got sources all around feeding him info as production moves along.

I had posted that JcDc was the first one I saw to name Andrew Garfield as Spidey, and posted the links from some old SHH threads I found through a search. From that I am apparently his clone. I don't think anybody likes JcDc, so don't group me in with him.

Oh come on. If you can't see that Showtime knows the ends and outs of what is going on, you are just blind. He's got moderator status and has a huge internet website called TMT.

He has sources everywhere to find out news for Superman.

Hate to bring up this fact again as I'm sure it's been done quite often, but Tom has not yet played Superman. He's been a different version of CK, but that's it.
I am hoping he pulls through whenever he does put the suit on this season and I'm completely willing to see him get a fair screentest, but he's not Superman yet.

To me, even though Tom has never worn the classic suit, it doesn't mean he is not portraying Superman every week. He has dedicated 10 years of his life to the development of this character and deserves the title as much and even more so than other actors who have had the job. Though I get what you are saying if you really must get technical. When it comes down to it, Tom is just giving us a younger and not yet officially named version of Superman. At least since last season.

It's sad. I've Welling burned into my brain as this generations Superman. The only candidates I liked being mentioned are Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer but will always be inferior choices to Welling for various reasons. Even getting good casting will still annoy me when I know it should have been the perfect casting (Welling) alot of people want.

Yeah, I grew up watching Welling as Clark Kent/Superman (not technically speaking, btw. ). If Welling doesn't get the part the only other guy I'd really like to see get it is Joe. But I'll see the movie regardless of who's in it. But I'd love it if Welling could get the part, and I really hope he gets a fair shot and tries to.

Ah, is Chris Nolan picking the actors for the movie? In the Untitled Superman board it seems just the opposite, theirs no chance of Welling getting to play him in the film. Or at least most of the posts I've read.
